USCIS is redesigning the green card and employment card. For more information see the following link:
USCIS Redesigns Green Card and Employment Authorization Document | USCIS U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced today new designs to improve security of Permanent Resident Cards (also known as Green Cards) and Employment Authorization Documents (EADs). USCIS will begin issuing the redesigned cards on Jan. 30, 2023.
Please be aware that USCIS has issued a notice that they intend to raise the filing fees for certain immigration and naturalization benefits.
USCIS has announced that in the months ahead, the agency plans to build on this progress by implementing premium processing for certain employment authorization applications for students and exchange visitors; establishing a permanent biometrics exemption for all applicants for change of nonimmigrant status and extension of nonimmigrant stay; and simplifying several common forms. In addition, they announced steps to advance the USCIS humanitarian mission, including online filing and notices, new rulemakings, and increased staffing and public engagement.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will celebrate Independence Day this year by welcoming more than 6,600 new citizens in more than 140 naturalization ceremonies between July 1 and July 8.
The office is open on Monday June 20, 2022 even though the courts are closed for Juneteenth.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced changes to simplify and improve how the agency communicates case processing time data to the public. The changes also make it easier for individuals to get an immediate answer on when they can make an inquiry into their case.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is increasing the automatic extension period for employment authorization cards from 180 days to 540 days effective May 4, 2022. This will help avoid gaps in employment for those with pending EAD renewal applications and stabilize the continuity of operations for U.S. employers.
USCIS continues to improve their backlog on processing of immigration cases.
Good news for those transferring from a 2 year green card to a 10 year green card....USCIS is no longer requiring interviews in most cases!
We are still open from 8am-6pm, now adjusted for Daylight Savings time.
Just a reminder. Marriage does not automatically provide immigration benefits. After the marriage, you must then petition the immigration department (USCIS) for benefits (Green Card, Employment Card, etc.)
If you are seeking immigration based on marriage, please check with the Northampton County District Courts, as many are handling marriage ceremonies for people whether they live in their district or not.
