BIG NEWS! 🚨 Irwin Chiropractic has now achieved their Certificate 🎓 of Proficiency in Pediatric and Family Chiropractic!

Dr. Angela has earned her Certificate of Proficiency in Pediatric and Family Chiropractic by successfully completing the 80-Hours of postdoctoral training sponsored by the Life University Department of Postgraduate Education and The Pediatric Experience and passed all exams and the final practical!

This assures our community that the specialized care received here at Irwin Chiropractic is truly world-class and encompasses the whole family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦!

Over this last weekend, the training included a deep dive into the science 🧠 of what is called The Perfect Storm 🌪 and the 10D Model of Subluxation, teaching doctors the exact mechanisms and neurology behind why so many kids get so sick and stressed so early in life.

Right now, sadly well over 50% of our children have at least one diagnosed chronic illness 😷, and in 1 in 6 struggle with mental health. And these studies were done before 2020 and all of that added stress and anxiousness our kids face (and their parents) have had added on here recently.

Additionally, the training from The Pediatric Experience and Life University focused on advanced levels of Analysis, Case Management, and what’s called the Neuro-Tonal Adjusting 🙌 approach. What that means for you and your family is that every single aspect of the care we provide is now more advanced and thorough than ever before!

WHAT IS THE WEBSTER TECHNIQUE? 🤰

The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and technique that reduces nervous system stress, balances pelvic muscles and ligaments, and optimizes the mother's pelvic function during pregnancy and birth. After the Webster analysis, we perform the proper corrections with safe, gentle, and effective adjustments. It is widely known in the birth world because it has so many benefits for pregnant women.

When the pelvis and surrounding soft tissue structures are balanced, not only does this help create the ideal environment for baby, but it also helps mom feel relief from the typical aches and pains of pregnancy. Win-Win right? 🤩

Have you heard of the Activator Method?

You may have seen this odd “clicker” at your chiropractor’s office and wondered what it was. This small instrument is called the Activator and delivers a quick, gentle, and effective impulse to the segment needing adjusted. The Activator Method uses leg length analysis and specific body movements to determine what needs to be adjusted.

While some people are skeptical of chiropractors because of the “popping” and “cracking”, the Activator provides a non-invasive method of adjusting that offers the same results as a manual adjustment.

Some may ask: How does that even do anything? The Activator delivers such a quick impulse that your body is not able to counteract beforehand. The adjustment is much gentler on the patient as it requires less force due to the higher speed of the impulse.

~Dr. Angela was born and raised in Jackson, MI ✋🏼

~She was an avid athlete, focusing on soccer and basketball, while also playing a year of college hoops ⚽️🏀

~She discovered the power of chiropractic after a sports injury in high school ⛹🏻‍♀️🤕

~She graduated from Palmer in Oct. 2021 with honors 📚

~Dr. Angela currently lives in Moline with her husband, Scott, their two dogs, and their pet turtle, Sq**rt 🐶🐶🐢

~In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, spending time at her family’s lake in Michigan, and playing any and all sports ✈️🥾⛵️
