Is It Bad To Skip Your Period On Birth Control? OB/GYNs Weigh In By Hannah Frye
According to the CDC, 14% of women aged 15-49 take hormonal birth control pills1. However widespread, the pill is not risk-free. The pill's side effects include a slightly increased risk of blood clots, changes in mood, headaches, and breakthrough bleeding. To minimize these risks, it's important to understand how to use the pill safely. 💊
As of right now, research and healthcare professionals agree that skipping your period on oral hormonal birth control and hormone-eluting IUDs is not harmful to your health and may be helpful for some people with painful periods. However, there's something to be said for the regularity of a period, so do what's right for your body.

Your Ultimate Guide To Every Type Of S*x Toy, With Tips From S*x Experts
By Naydeline Mejia
There are multiple routes to O-town and plenty of tools to help you get there. But if you’re new to the wondrous world of s*x toys, or are simply looking to test out a new variety, how do you know what to look for?
Your first stop: Make sure the toy you’re interested in is made of body-safe materials. These include: medical-grade silicone, stainless steel, glass, and ABS plastic, says Dr. Karen Toubi. “Avoid materials like jelly, PVC, and rubber as they can contain harmful chemicals,” she adds.
Next, look at specific features, including size, shape, vibration settings, noise level, and power source. Is the toy battery-powered or rechargeable? Does it require a power cord? If you want your toy to last a long time, rechargeable is probably the way to go.
The type of stimulation you prefer will help narrow down your options, too. Oh, and you can’t talk about s*x toys without mentioning l**e. In case you didn’t know, there are three main types of lubricant: water, silicone, and oil.
Now, with all of that in mind, click the link to keep reading for a how-to guide on the most popular s*x toys on the market, including how to use them and how to best care for your feel-good gadgets so they continue working for years to come.

It’s Dr. Karen Toubi, your friendly OBGYN! Here to answer another Friday Q&A.
S*x, intimacy, and a healthy relationship are often connected. When a woman’s s*x drive decreases, her relationship may also be affected. Today’s question is from a 35-year-old female who is experiencing low s*x drive. She says that she doesn’t wanna have s*x and is just not in the mood for it. After a series of questions and examinations, I diagnosed her with something called HSDD, or Hypoactive S*xual Desire Disorder. It is a condition that deals with the mental and physical loss of desire to have s*x for an extended period of time which mostly affects women. But don’t worry, a variety of treatment options are available for HSDD and is totally treatable.
I like to prescribe something called Vyleesi. It is an injectable medication that works on the pleasure centers in your brain. It is easy to use and compared to other medications, you have the option to take the medication as needed. Essentially you just take a little bit of fat and inject the medication into the fat about four hours before your intended time of intimacy. You can use this up to eight times a month.
If you think you’re experiencing HSDD or if you’re just interested in the treatment or want to learn more about it, feel free to make an appointment. We're here for you! 🩺

Big Cl****is Energy ⚡
The cl****is is the sensitive area located on the top of your v***a. It is the only organ in the body designed purely for pleasure. It is much more than meets the eye! The cl****is is like an iceberg, larger than you realize!
The g***s are just the beginning of the cl****is. The rest of its spongy shaft extends inside your body, back and down along both sides of the va**na. 💕

🇮🇱🤍As a Jewish woman and a mother of five, my heart is heavy with the weight of recent events. Watching the harrowing scenes of innocent women and children, I'm reminded of the vulnerability we all share. Every mother's hope is for a world of safety and peace for her children, and my heart goes out not only to the hostages but also to the innocent Palestinian families caught in this maelstrom. In these trying times, I hope for understanding, compassion, and justice. My heart stands with Israel and its pursuit of a peaceful homeland.
