Being authentic these days can be difficult however when you’re authentic, you’re performing as your best self. When you wear this design we want you to own your authenticity. The question has been swirling….What is Osisi ati Katako? It’s Real. It’s Authentic.
It’s family.

When we were deciding on a name, we wanted one that represented strength, sparked creativity and to also stand for family and oneness. What better way to do that than with our last name Wood.

We blended two dialects from our Nigerian heritage; Osisi ati from the Igbo and Katako from the Hausa.

Digging further into what the element wood represents, we were led to trees. Trees represents life, growth, wisdom, prosperity and power.

It’s who we are and we invite you to be apart of our WOOD family tree. Whether you’re a ceo of a Fortune 500 company, a gifted artist, a talented musician, or a genius engineering the future, we welcome you.

Per usual, the Brown Sugar Teen Box from never disappoints. I may have to “borrow” this ginger peach body butter from Little Miss Osisi. The smell is bananas!!!! It’s the pouring into black girls for us!

“What happens to a deferred?” The legend Langston Hughes had questions that needed answers. Well we don’t know and that’s because over here it’s only dreams realized. Everyday we strive to build a community that we can be proud of. Thank you for pouring into our cup of support and being apart of the Osisi community. We appreciate you!

When we took this huge leap and bet on ourselves, a million questions ran through our minds. How will people respond? Will our message resonate with people? Will the community support us? You name it we thought it. So when we are tagged in photos of our tribe, our community rockin’ our vision, it literally brings tears to our eyes. We are forever honored in this moment and our hearts are forever full. The love that all have shown us causes our cup of gratitude to overflow. We would like to extend special love today, to for his support! It means more than we could possibly put into a caption. It will always be the support for us!

Think about it, when you see an animal on the prowl, they are focused on their goal and nothing or no one can distract them from that goal. When we set out to create Osisi ati Katako, we wanted designs to represent who we are, what we stand for and what we all have the potential to be. So as you wear this design, be your own “Animal on the Prowl”; focused, determined and allowing nothing to distract you from reaching your goals all while transforming your wardrobe. Let’s be “Animals on the Prowl” together.
