Ah the age old question...so how long is this going to take? This is usually one of the first things my clients ask me when I first sign them up and the truth is there is no way of knowing how long because so many factors go into it. A few of the main factors that dictate how long a personal injury case will take are: Policy Limits: the policies in play are the main determinant for how the case will be managed. Treatment: typically we don’t settle a case until the client is done treating (the course of treatment is also determined based on other factors) Liability: If liability is an issue then the case could go into litigation, which prolongs the process, sometimes taking years to conclude.
