Thank you to Bausch and Lomb for asking me to moderate and host their west coast surgical residency training meeting. It was such a thrill performing live surgery in front of everyone, and teaching the newest surgical techniques in the world. Thank you to all my fellow speakers. The residents had a fantastic time. Thank you to the Zeiss team for coming to Beverly Hills and picking me as the FIRST surgeon in the US to implant their new intra-ocular lens implant. Their CT Lucia 621P lens will be a game changer in our armamentarium to help people see better without glasses after cataract surgery. Thank you all for your trust in me. I will be teaching hundreds of surgeons how to use this lens and their new injector.

So honored to be the first surgeon in the west to have and use the new LENSAR ALLY femtosecond laser for cataract surgery. My surgery center is now the only one is the United States with three different laser systems for cataract surgery and this system is a game changer. The treatment algorithms and patient comfort is unprecedented. Looking forward to incorporating this amazing technology into my practice.

A big thank you to Jessy Berry for agreeing to come to my cedars departmental meeting on a gloomy rainy night to speak about the latest research and techniques in treating ocular cancers especially melanoma and retinoblastoma. She is a prolific speaker and we are looking forward to having her come back next year again

I was one of the first cataract surgeons in the world to perform laser cataract surgery (actually bought the third laser in the world back in 2011) and have taught hundreds of doctors locally and internationally on how to use the technology. Im happy to share my most recent research with the world in an internationally published eye surgery journal. Proud that I am working with the largest corporations in the world and researching the newest technologies coming for cataract and refractive surgery. Stay tuned.

Honored to be named again as the Chief of the department of Ophthalmology at the world renowned Cedars Sinai Medial Center. This is my seventh year at the head of the department. Looking forward to this term and the amazing new technologies I am brining our patients with complex eye disease.

20 years ago I was a first year attending at NY medical college. We operated on dozens of fire fighters, police and first responders with glass, debris and foreign body in their eyes. Our way of life completely changed. Traveling became infinitely more difficult. Let’s make sure we never let this happen again. Respect to those brave souls that gave their lives to save and protect the rest.

Alcon was kind enough to reach out me to be one of the first surgeons in the US to implant their new CLAREON lens with the new Autonome delivery system before their national release. All patients did amazing and are happy. Excellent new technology.

Thank you to Johnson and Johnson for again choosing me to be the first in the US to implant their newest presbyopia correcting lens. The Synergy lens allows for incredible distance intermediate and near vision after cataract surgery and also for patients who are tired of glasses. I was one of the first to dedicate my practice to this technology 16 years ago. This new lens will be a game changer.

I was thrilled to be asked by the internationally published “Ophthalmology Management” to write an article on how to improve flow in a high volume eye surgery centers. Our center is one of the highest volume eye surgery centers in the United States. I was honored to share some of my experiences as one of its directors.

The RxSight Light Adjustible Lens is the only technology that allows the lens implant to be customized to the patients eye. It’s almost 100% accurate especially in challenging post refractive (lasik) surgery cases. I was lucky to be one of the first in the United States to offer the technology and now have incredible experience with it. If you’ve had lasik, RK, or any other form of refractive surgery and need cataract surgery, you are a candidate for this amazing technology.
