Throughout the years, she really struggled with her front teeth missing. When she went back to school, her classmates started to bully her and call her names. “They were telling me it was my fault and I should have just died” Angel reported. As a result of the bullying, Angel started to self harm. She eventually developed an eating disorder. “I had dentures but they looked nothing like my teeth. Our patient came to us after smoking ci******es, developing numerous infections underneath her existing decaying teeth. Her teeth were discolored from smoking, actively making pain for her mouth. We chose to extract the teeth that were considered too far gone to save, replacing the empty spots with membrane to strengthen her bone over time.

This past week, our patient was presented with her new upper and lower dentures, making her smile completely restored again. While the option for implants may be available to her down the line, we're confident that her new dentures will give her the support and comfort she needs for both functionality and aesthetic!

Behold, this week's gorgeous transformation! Sometimes, one tooth can change the entire mouth—in this case, our patient came to us with the desire to change out her single-denture tooth that she was unhappy with. It was misshapen, not color matched, and frankly stood out completely when she smiled.

Instead, we decided to place an implant that gave our patient her exact color match and shape desires, fitting her mouth perfectly and disguising the fact that she was missing a tooth in the first place!

Mornings are filled with planning for our patients, trying to figure out what the best course of action is, and creating custom molds so our patients can see exactly what we see.

What's so special about this case, though?

Though we can't give you 100% of the details, this patient needs a complete reconstructive job done—with multiple missing teeth, multiple fractured teeth and several cavities present, this patient will need to replace his existing damaged teeth with new, beautiful dentures and implants.

Luckily, he came to the right place, and our patient will be out of the office with a new smile in no time.

This patient came in for a reconstruction of his lower teeth, filling in the gaps that exposed the missing teeth that he accumulated over time. Due to age and dental health issues, it's typical to see patients needing work done after the age of 50, which is why we typically offer dentures as an option to fill in those expected gaps.

Next step, we're fixing his upper bridge and adding implants—this will inevitably complete the look he's going for, which is a beautiful set of teeth!

Can we talk about how groundbreaking of a difference this is for our patient? I mean, talk about LIFE CHANGING, right?

Our patient came to us with virtually no teeth to work with--this can often happen by improper dental care spread across several decades, drug use, not brushing for years, or trauma to the face. Unfortunately in this situation, there are limited options that we have for our patient; we have to present them with the opportunity to have implants put in.

Luckily, our patient went the extra mile to invest in her mouth, which is always an admirable quality in patients who want to turn their life around. We worked together for a number of months, making sure both functionality and aesthetic choices were valued at the highest regard.

Born in Iran and having escaped as a refugee to America in the early 90's to New York City, Dr. Rashti is as fearless as it comes. It's no wonder that she performs reconstructive surgery on a weekly basis, since she's constantly curious, trying to find out the next thing to do for her patients. After all, she is a virgo!

Dr. Rashti went to New York University School of Dentistry to study reconstructive dental work, specializing in dental implants and aesthetic choices for dental patients. Soon after, she moved to Los Angeles, working for the Los Angeles VA Hospital for nearly a decade.

Afterwards, Dr. Rashti sought to create an environment where she could help patients to her fullest extent, while also working with patients from not just her local community, but all around the world.

So where is she now? Our office is open to all dental patients, some who might need the occasional cleaning and some who come from around the world to have their own personal smile makeover.

This particular patient was telling us about how she missed her smile from her wedding in 2017--in fact, she was showing the whole office photos of her beaming from ear to ear, showing off her beautiful smile only a few short years ago. Finally, she can say that she has her smile back, and that she can look in the mirror and see the same smile that she walked down the aisle with.

Our lovely patient, Rosa, stopped by this week to have her upper and lower dentures delivered! This is always a VERY happy moment in the office as it's one of the first times where our patients can see their transformative look after their extractions and necessary impressions.

From having a completely shifted bite and several teeth that needed to be extracted, we were able to restore her mouth to the near perfect condition.

Believe it or not, these teeth are about half done! We're going to be spending the next few months perfecting her bite, overall smile and comfort of the dentures she's going to wear. In fact, she burst into tears upon seeing your mouth, so you can say we did 5-star work once again!
