Here are some tips to prioritize your health and wellness!

1. Don’t be afraid to unplug, silence your phone and power down if you are still tempted to scroll.
2. Find some time outdoors, the fresh air and sounds are rejuvenating.
3. Move your body.
4. Find silence and take a moment to intentionally breathe. Listen to your breath.
5. Do a facial, mani pedi, bubble bath, what ever brings you happiness.
6. Show gratitude for just being you and hold space for yourself while you repeat a powerful mantra.

For the longest time my practice was tied to a studio. Having a studio only practice can be challenging if there is not one locally, you are traveling, you are not finding quality instruction nearby, or the studio atmosphere is triggering and associated with negative feelings. Take a walk and do some yoga along the way.
Taking a moment to unplug can be a fantastic way to gain balance and perspective. When the "noise" is removed, often our thoughts can settle, and the path forward becomes much more apparent.

I can tune out the noise and external stimuli with the practice of pratyahara. Pratyahara is the fifth limb of yoga in the Ashtanga yoga system. It is achieved by slowing the response to external sounds and stimuli, using your breath as a focus point, until all falls away as you tune into your inner self. Once attuned to your inner self it’s much easier to gain a clear and fresh perspective.
