Today is National NonProfit Day. Let’s take some time to think about all the nonprofit groups in our area that could use your support. CASA of South Mississippi, Seashore Mission, Comeback Coolers, Mississippi Aviation Heritage Museum, Humane Society of South Mississippi, Advocates For Freedom, MISSISSIPPI Heroes, Mental Health Association of South Mississippi. All of these groups do amazing work for our community. Please keep them all in your thoughts today and all year.

A review of some numbers today.

Casa of South Mississippi services over 200 children who need support. The problem is there are almost twice that amount of kids in the system. The issue is always numbers, to few funds too many needs.

Another number 100, yes it may be 100 degrees tonight Concerts on the Causeway but this is nothing new to the gulf coast.

Yet another number 6 as in six string Andrew who will be brave the 100 degrees to entertain us as we dig deep to support the 100’s of kids that need Casa Support.

Please come out to the Causeway tonight at 6 to help the Casa Project!

I don't need any excuse to eat sweets. Please consider helping my dear friend Elijah Mitchell and Seashore Mission. I have witnessed firsthand how the amazing people at the Seashore Mission help the homeless in our community. Your heart and your belly will feel full!

Hard at work printing shirts for tonight’s Concert on the Causeway to benefit the Gulf Coast Skate Park. $10 per shirt and the skate park gets all the money raised. Come on out to the Popps Ferry Causeway tonight at 6Pm.

We love supporting our community. The MS Mississippi Aviation Heritage Museum is an amazing place and it keeps getting better. I got a sneak peek at the Vietnam section that is coming soon and it will be spectacular. If you haven’t yet visited put it on your list.

Great news from the National Marine Life Center today, Mud Pie has been rehabilitated and released back into the wild.

Unfortunately, our work is never done. We've recently welcomed two new patients, Cherry Garcia and Salted Caramel, who are in need of our care and your support. We urge you to learn more about them and consider how you can help.

We had lunch today at an amazing home cooked southern style restaurant in Diamondhead. I can tell you I have never tasted chicken and dumplings like this before. Got a chance to meet the owners and they were so much fun to talk with. If you haven’t tried Dunks yet, you need to! A true hidden gem.
The offerings change often so each visit you may find something new. Fried Chicken was great, real loaded mashed potatoes with bacon and cheese, BBQ ribs, cornbread. We loved it. Dunk's Southern Style Buffet

Yesterday, at the weekly BNI Catalyst, MS Gulf Coast Chapter meeting, we heard from Monique Ward of A&W Associates of Ocean Springs. Since A&W is both a real estate and a property management company, Monique thought she would use her time to speak about hurricane preparedness. Her presentation was fantastic and filled with many suggestions that anyone living along the coast should follow. One more reason why a BNI membership is so powerful. Each week, we get to see the insides of our members' businesses, and it is very clear that Monique and A&W care about their clients well beyond sales.
