I just wanted to give a shoutout to my landlord Steve! I noticed that my sink was leaking this morning and I was freaking out because I have company coming over for dinner tonight. I sent Steve a text in hopes that he could come check it out while I was at work and not even 2hrs. later he sent me this pic showing me he had already fixed it!! Steve, you came through in the clutch and I just want you to know I appreciate you! Get you a landlord like Steve y'all and sleep easy at night like I do 💜
Gotta have a Happy New Years' "ad infinitum"
What a great location for our 100th year anniversary celebration.
After 6 days of training at the DAV National Convention, I am convinced that I will always need to update the knowledge and understanding of the laws and regulations that govern the VA Benefits Claims process. This has been an eye opening and humbling experience that has updated my base of knowledge. I have much room for improvement. Be patient with me.

The secretary thought a moment, and then replied, “Everthang but my earrings.”

The young man from Mississippi came running into the store and said to his buddy,
“Bubba, somebody just stole your pickup truck from the parking lot!”
Bubba replied, “Did y’all see who it was?”
The young man answered, “I couldn’t tell, but I got the license number.”

A man in North Carolina had a flat tire, pulled off on the side of the road, and
proceeded to put a bouquet of flowers in front of the car and one behind it. Then he got back in the car to wait.
A passerby studied the scene as he drove by, and was so curious he turned around
and went back. He asked the fellow what the problem was.
The man replied, “I got a flat tahr.”
The passerby asked, “But what’s with the flowers?”
The man responded, “When you break down they tell you to put flares in the front
and flares in the back. I never did understand it neither.”

The Sheriff pulled up next to the guy unloading garbage out of his pick-up into

“Yep,” he replied. “That’s why I’m dumpin’ it here, ‘cause it says: ‘Fine For Dumping
Garbage.’”

Happy New Year!🍾🎉🥂. Wishing you all good health and many blessings in the New Year. We are cherishing our family time😘
2017 was a climax year for DAV & me.
You made my day with the beautiful text, from such a beautiful people. I emotionally hit a wall this afternoon, after months of preparation for the biggest Mississippi Vet Day Parade, we hauled our wheel chair disabled vets to their free breakfast, then the IP Casino parking lot to take our place in a truly international event, even had the Vietnamese & Philippine Representation. After the parade & party on the Biloxi Town Green, we took down our tent, loaded it, the tables & chairs, (including wheel chairs) to take the vets back to the Medical Foster Home. But they wanted to stop for the Vet' Day dinner at Appleby on the way back. So after unloading, reloading after eating & unloading again at their MF Home, I must have hit my limit, had to take a back pill for inflammation & slept for 4 hours. Today we went out for a lemon harvest at a friends house (5 buckets of lemons to share), & came home to prepare for a Veterans Day speech in Columbia tomorrow, then the annual fundraiser at the Golden Coral. I didn't expect DAV Commander to be this tiring, but I wouldn't do it if I didn't love it. Pray for these old vets, we need prayer.
PTSD
Who's got my six?
I'm going to make a bet, without being pessimistic, that out of all my friends, less than 5 will take the time to put this on their wall. I understand if you won't - no judgement.
Please write "done" under my comments when you do! I've done this for a friend to spread Awareness of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
We lose 22 Veterans a day to PTSD. More needs to be done to help...Do your buddy checks, if you or someone you love is suffering from depression and PTSD call the su***de Hotline at +1 (800) 273-8255 🇺🇸
There are many forms of PTSD. Help is available. Please get the help you need and deserve. You don't have to suffer.

Proud to be an active member. Looking forward to Veterans Day Parade and the Forget-me-not drive in November. Great time to be a Veteran. Time to "VET UP".
Preparing for all the Veterans Day Parades!
