Wonderful Mass this morning at Nativity Cathedral with Bishop Kihneman as the Celebrant. After Mass was the beautiful Baptism of baby Olivia Mason.

At St. Thomas the Apostle tonight, the Seminarians made dinner for their family, friends & the Bishop. Well done Gentlemen!

Fr. Sergio and the Principals from both Sacred Heart Hattiesburg Schools thank the team members who presented the Discipleship Day Retreat to the schools and parish staff.
The Parishioners from St. Elizabeth Seton Parish are: Bill Oster, Amy Meadows, Chris Young, Lisa Lumpkin, Caroline Knight.

Personal Dinner cooked at the Bishop's Residence by Rob & Paige Stinson (Owners of Salute' Italian Restaurant). Chris & Kim Kennedy, Beth & Les McMackin and Rose & George Sliman won the dinner during an auction at the Bishop's Gala last year. Mass was celebrated before dinner last night.

Wonderful gathering today with the new faculty & staff of our Catholic Schools. This took place at St. Michael Parish in Biloxi.

This morning at Sacred Heart Parish in Hattiesburg, Fr. Sergio Balderas was installed as their Pastor. Good to see so many folks in the congregation representing several ministries.

One of the greatest treasures to any family and to our Catholic Family is our grandparents and elderly members who enrich us with their wisdom, insight, support and leadership. Our prayers are with you, and we give “Thanks to God!” for you.

Happy 91st Birthday

Wonderful gathering of several Seminarians tonight at the Pastoral Center. Special thanks to those who prepared the delicious meal: Kathleen LeBlanc, Patricia Resor, Matt Reeves, Bill Hand, Joe Monti & Ken Roche who are all parishioners at Our Lady of the Gulf Parish, Bay St. Louis.

Incredibly grateful to 8 Biloxi casinos who came together to donate $85,000 in cash to the Mercy Cross Homeless Day Center in Biloxi. The Beau Rivage, Golden Nugget, Treasure Bay, Hard Rock, Harrah’s, Boomtown, Imperial Palace and Palace Casino all came together to make this amazing gift happen.

Bishop Kihneman blessed a new restaurant in Ocean Springs named Hwy to India. Mario & Rachel Raja (the owners) are parishioners at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church - Ocean Springs. They are also good friends with Fr. Kennedy Soosai, Fr. Arokia Doss, Fr. David Milton & Fr. Jey Jordan. Many members of the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce showed up for the ribbon cutting.

Mississippi coast folks, come sing with us!

“Gloria in Excelsis”—a community-wide Chorale Society open to all—will begin their Seventh Season on August 13th at 7:00 p.m.

The hour-and-a-half, weekly rehearsals are held in the Sacred Heart Academy (SHA) Center on the campus of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (BVM) Cathedral – 870 Howard Avenue in Biloxi. Rehearsals are in the Youth Assembly Hall on the East side of the SHA Center. No membership fee is required.

The Chorale presents an annual All-Souls, an Advent, a Christmas, a Holy Week and Patriotic Concerts.
