Beautiful day to be out, still on the hunt for some bass so far only catfish this year, but managed to we the boat tune up, now is running great. Even got a new speed record today. Water cold and muddy.

marinating time before next year. I choose this super soft plastisol to maximize the action of the bait in this freezing water temp. I decided to pure it myself to save some money on long run also I get to choose colors/ hardness of the bait.

Favorite colors so far

My first ever stripe bass. Is fight so hard almost as some of the coho or salmon I catch at Oswego. I was checking the creek for the first time and no fish finder with me or anything but I was jigging with a CC spoon

54F water temp is getting colder but bite still happening. Unfortunately today was the last day for the this year with the boat . Just winterize it when I got back today. Next year will be more fun for sure who knows maybe I’ll buy the livescope like I used to do with my kayak. But I do really enjoy the boat for sure it fit my lifestyle better than the kayak but I still will still take kayak out but boat just get you to spot little faster.

Hopefully is not the last time I took the boat out for this year. Water temp 57F but launching boat without dock is not something I’m use to.

Beautiful day to hit the River on a low tide hour to check all the hot spot. So far they all hang out along the rock piles.

Drove around for like 10 miles but end up catching this piggy by the boat launch off course first decent smallie off the Hudson River. I like where this is going since I live 5 min from the boat launch. Still need to learn how to drive either passing or In coming boat wave. I still need to figure out the trimming thing. But I alway find myself getting plane so I can go over it. Which I don’t mind since I’m not rush. Also I still wear my kayak PFD, since I love the pocket on it.

Pack up for 1000 Island trip. Thank for a great Tip on the rod handle wrapped. I actually love it, the way it feel while holding it. 😅

Finally to get go out and fish. I have not fish in 2 week now they are already in bed. Also I should have not forgot to bring hat.

When your new jobs won’t allow to fishing off kayak on weekday anymore. So now I have have to be a bank be**er until weekend

Went to a new small lake today never been there before, spend most morning fishing jerkbait but mostly catch smaller one and once awhile got some bigger one at a drop off bank. And the wind pick up so does the Bite and size of the bass. Big fish pattern today was a blowdown or lay down wood or dock on the North East side bank, with chunk rock.

Jerkbait festival today, today start off freezing cold and slow. Did not get a bite until like 10 ish, most fish came from my favorite jerkbait. Also I loss that favorite jerkbait to probably one of the biggest bass I ever hooked. PS Z I did not check my line after I catch a northern Pike. Big big mistake!

Pick this pigs off Coontail, I’m glad I went fishing today. 3/8 oz jigs was the main weapon today.
