Ambassadors for Christ

Paul in Rome, A.D. 61 - "But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel...." - Philippians 1:12, NKJV. And continue to be "for the furtherance of the gospel" in A.D. 2023!

Thankful to God to have been able to preach Christ this morning. What an honor to proclaim His one and only Son!

"'There is no other name under heaven... by which we must be saved.'" - Acts 4:12

What a magnificent blessing to be enabled to proclaim the King of kings tonight at an intersection! Thank You, Jesus!

"'Prepare to meet your God.'" - Amos 4:12

"How then are they to call on Him in whom they have not believed? How are they to believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher?" - Romans 10:14, NASB

He wrote His law in their hearts and gave them a conscience.

Preaching Christ at the gas station.

"But He was pierced for our offenses, He was crushed for our wrongdoings; the punishment for our well-being was laid upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed." - Isaiah 53:5 (NASB)

Urging them to repent and trust in Christ for the forgiveness of their sin. They know when they sin; God wrote His law in their hearts and gave them a conscience - and they heard it here too!

Saturday morning evangelism.

"They show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience testifying...." - Romans 2:16, NASB

Despite steady commuter traffic that did not stay in place for long, the preaching accomplished all He pleased. As He says through the prophet, "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." - Isaiah 55:11, NKJV

Preaching Christ Friday Afternoon.

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness." - Romans 1:18, NKJV

"How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?" - Romans 10:14, NKJV

Preaching from Romans 1:18-20, "... so that they are without excuse."

Begging them on behalf of Christ to be reconciled to God.

Asking them if they will be ready to stand before Christ in judgment.

Preaching the gospel - the power of God for salvation!

The weather was oppressively hot late Friday afternoon and most windows were up, but the gospel went out, and ears He willed to hear heard it loud and clear.

How will you fare on judgment day? Will your good deeds get you into heaven?

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8

"Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God." - 2 Corinthians 5:20

"Therefore, having been justified by faith...." By faith in the only begotten Son of God!

Preaching Christ on the Parkway.

Preaching the good news of Jesus Christ. Why? It is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes!

"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." - Romans 5:1

"For 'Whoever will call on the name of the LORD will be saved.' How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?" - Romans 10:13-14 (NASB)

Preaching the only way of salvation Monday afternoon.

Warning them of sin and the consequences of continuing without Christ.

Proclaiming Jesus raised from the dead.

"... we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God."

Preaching the gospel from Isaiah 53.

Saturday morning evangelism.

"For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet." - 1 Cor. 15:25
