معرض رموز حياتي الذهبية" لرضا عبد الرحمن والذى يقام في الخامس من يناير. ولمدة شهر بجاليرى آرتيزان ،بغامتون نيويورك ،
ويقام حفل الاستقبال الافتتاحي في أول جمعة من الساعة 6 إلى 9 مساءً،
رضا عبد الرحمن فنان مصري المولد حاصل على درجة الماجستير والدكتوراه. في فلسفة الفنون ،أقام 32 معرضًا فرديًا في مصر وجميع أنحاء العالم،
أثرت الطبيعة وسنوات الدراسة بشكل كبير على أعمال رضا عبد الرحمن طوال مسيرته الفنية، فكانت لنشأته في الإسماعيلية بين البحيرات والحدائق المفتوحة تأثيرًا كبيرا،كما أثرت دراسته في جامعة المنيا بصعيد مصر على أعماله الإبداعية حيث تأثر بالحضارة المصرية القديمة . ثم كان انتقاله إلى شمال ولاية نيويورك بمثابة جسر بين الماضي والحاضر في ذاكرته البصرية، مما أدى إلى ظهور أعماله الأخيرة نابضة بالحياة مع الطبيعة المفتوحة والبحيرات بطريقة متأثرة بالطبيعة بشكل كبير. الى جانب احتفاظه بتأثره بفن المصريون القدماء، الذين يفتخر بهم رضا، وهو من أحفاد هؤلاء العظماء.بيان ويقول الفنان ،أنا أؤمن بأهمية الفن لبناء جسر بين الثقافات والناس، وأعتمد على تنوع الثقافات والخلفيات العرقية للقيام بذلك.
قدمت ذلك من خلال العديد من المشاريع الفنية التي قمت بها طوال مسيرتي، وكان آخرها معرضي “أنا الجميع” في مدينة نيويورك عام 2020. واعتمدت على العديد من التقنيات؛ الرسم الذى كان ولا يزال ضروريا. واستفدت كثيرا من دراستي لرسم المصريين القدماء وأهمية الخط التعبيرية.كما استخدمت العديد من التقنيات والوسائط القديمة من الفحم والأصباغ الطبيعية وتمبرا مع الوسائط الحديثة مثل الاكريليك والزيت وغيرها. وفي النهاية، أننى أؤمن أن الفن وسيلة تواصل هائلة يمكنها أن تضع جسرًا للتواصل مع الناس.
وفي معرضي الجديد في آرتيزان جاليري، استهدفت تلك الرموز من الشخصيات الإيجابية التي جعلت حياتي وحياة الناس تسير بشكل أفضل، بما في ذلك السياسيين ونجوم السينما والمطربين والفنانين والرياضيين والباحثين، وحتى أفراد عائلتي، الذين أعتبرهم جميعًا رموزًا ذهبية في حياتي.

Golden Symbols of My Life by Reda Abdelrahman is coming to Artisan Gallery in January. Join us for an Opening Reception on First Friday from 6-9PM.

Reda Abdelrahman is an Egyptian-born artist with a master’s degree and Ph.D. in the philosophy of fine art. He has held 32 solo exhibitions in Egypt and all over the world.

Nature and years of studying significantly influenced the work of Reda Abdelrahman throughout his artistic career, his upbringing in Ismailia was among lakes and open gardens, and his studies in Upper Egypt impacted his creative works. His move to Upstate New York was a bridge between the past and the present in his visual memory, resulting in his recent work looking vibrant with open nature and lakes in a greatly influenced way. The ancient Egyptians, whom Reda is proud of, are one of the descendants of these greats.

Artist Statement: I believe in the importance of art to build a bridge between cultures and people, and I rely on the diversity of cultures and backgrounds to do that.

I presented this through many artistic projects I have undertaken throughout my career, the most recent of which was my exhibition, “I am Everybody,” in New York City in 2020. I relied on many techniques; drawing was and still is essential. I benefited greatly from my studies of drawing the ancient Egyptians and the importance of the expressive line. I also used many ancient techniques and media of charcoal, natural pigments, and tempera with modern media such as acrylic and others. In the end, it is believed that art is a tremendous means of communication that can put a bridge of communication with people.

In my new exhibition at Artisan Gallery, I targeted those symbols of positive personalities that made my life and the lives of people go better, including politicians, movie stars, singers, athletes, researchers, and even my family members, all of whom I consider to be golden symbols in my life.

On the first and third Tuesday of each month, join us in the gallery from 5:30 to 8:30 PM for Open Figure Drawing with a live model. Bring your own art supplies; easels and drawing boards provided. All skill levels welcome. Class space is limited - advance registration is preferred, walk-ins accepted if space allows. Cost is $15/session and includes the model fee. Sessions will be facilitated by Linda Ciallelo and Reda Abdelrahman.
