The lift is installed!! Earlier this week the lift was delivered and installed by Northstar Lifts, LLC of Tully, NY. After a few days of final touches, it is ready to go! We are so excited for Liam and his family. This could not be possible if it wasn't for our generous and kind community which rallied together to help a family in need. Thank you to all who donated money and/or time to make this happen. This is only the beginning. Stay tuned for further updates!
Two months ago, we were in the first stage of "Liam's Lift" after 18 months of fundraising and planning.
As with all plans, things change and plans have to be revised. We found out that the ramp had to be built before the lift could be installed – just the opposite of what we had anticipated. After two months of waiting for the lift to be constructed, the ramp was built last week on Thursday, July 20th and stage 2 was completed. Many thanks to the Ramp It Up team who gave up their day to make it happen!
It won’t be long now until the lift is finally installed. Stay tuned for more updates!

Back in the fall of 2021, Ramp It Up heard about a little boy in need of, not only a ramp, but a lift.
Project "Liam's Lift" began and eighteen months later, fundraising and planning have finally paid off!
The beginning stages of the project have begun with the digging of the pit for the lift. We anticipate the lift will be installed very soon, with the ramp build happening shortly after.
Many thanks to our Ramp It Up staff for working so hard on the organizing and planning of this big project. And special thanks to our generous community for donating funds to make this all possible.
Stay tuned for more updates!

Yesterday was a great day to honor volunteers at the 24th Annual Lives of Commitment Awards Breakfast at DoubleTree Hotel in Binghamton! Our three honorees inspired us with stories about their commitment to serving the community. Jeff Lake, our Keynote Speaker, encouraged us to "take care of each other" as he spoke about the importance of volunteerism. We are grateful for our sponsors who support this event and help Faith in Action Volunteers: Broome County Council of Churches Chapter continue to serve the older adults in our community. We hope to see you next year, May 9, 2024, at the 25th Annual Lives of Commitment Awards Breakfast!
