Al Fiori has a rare autoimmune disease that has impacted his mobility and muscle control. The Binghamton-area native and retired homicide detective hasn't let that damper his competitive spirit. Since his diagnosis just a few years ago, Al has become an internationally ranked athlete and member of Team USA's Para Trap Shooting squad. And now with the care and encouragement of our Lourdes Infusion Center team, he's also competing to earn his spot on the United States' Olympic team.
On behalf of Kathy Connerton and the entire Lourdes team, warmest wishes to you and your loved ones this Thanksgiving. May your tables be filled with joy and laughter, and may your hearts be filled with gratitude. Happy Thanksgiving! π¦

Lourdes Hospital's flagpole area has a new patriotic look! πΊπΈ Our grounds team recently refreshed the area with colors and elements representing the American flag: red hemlock mulch, white 3/4 stone and blue playground mulch made from ground-up rubber tires. The project was inspired by the former leader of the Lourdes grounds team, Blane Pixley, who is now retired. Christian Osborn, who currently heads the team, said Joe Carosella of Northeastern Striping Corporation generously donated the blue mulch for the project. Thank you, Joe! Watch our grounds team in action as they complete the area's refresh with the blue playground mulch!
