A heartwarming scene unfolded as the Binghamton Patriots made their way to the away team locker room after a hard-fought game against the Tigers. A Tiger youth football player stood eagerly by, his hand outstretched for high-fives from the Patriots. Despite the loss, every Patriot player took the time to give him a high five, a simple yet touching act of sportsmanship. In that brief moment, the spirit of kindness and unity shone brightly, reminding us that some of the best victories happen off the field.

We are the Apalachin Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a proud organization of college-educated women dedicated to public service. Since our founding on May 22, 1982, we've been committed to promoting academic excellence and providing scholarships to students in Broome, Tioga, Chenango, and Delaware Counties. Since 1985, we’ve helped over 138 students achieve their collegiate dreams, and we aim to do even more in the years to come!

The NYS OAG is seeking a talented and innovative Community Liaison to join the Office of Special Investigation (OSI). OSI’s members investigate incidents throughout the state in which a police officer or a peace officer (including a corrections officer) has caused the death of a person. If warranted, OSI’s attorneys seek charges in connection with the incident and prosecute any resulting indictment. The Community Liaison will collaborate with OSI attorneys and social workers, and with Communications, Policy, and Intergovernmental Affairs teams to develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with external stakeholders on issues of policing best practices, police-community relations, interaction between police and other institutions, and community safety. This position will be based in New York City and report to the OSI Bureau Chief.

High School Guidance Counselors, teachers, educators, parents, and friends-the Association of American Medical Colleges is collaborating with The College Board to host a webinar for students and their families about careers in on October 15th from 8 p.m. - 9 p.m. ET.

Students will learn how to become doctors and the importance of preparing now in high school for .
