Valdosta Terminal 2024
It still excites us to look back and recognize the growth Blair has seen over the years. The Valdosta terminal is no exception, and with its growth, we brought a new terminal for our contractors. New surveillance cameras for the yard and showers are just a few of the newest amenities for our people. These additions, along with others, are part of the commitment to our people who contribute to our success. We will continue to invest in our people as we grow.

The upcoming International Roadcheck, scheduled for May 14-16, 2024, marks the world's largest targeted enforcement initiative for commercial motor vehicles. During this 72-hour period, an average of nearly 15 trucks and motorcoaches are inspected every minute across North America! This year's Roadcheck emphasizes tractor protection systems, as well as policies concerning controlled substances and alcohol use. Contractors, be prepared for inspections. 🚧👮

Kenny W 2022 Blair Contractor of the Year
We're a few days away before we announce of 2023 Contractor of the Year! In honor of the upcoming awards banquet, we'd like to recognize last year's winner, Kenny W. Kenny, with 28 years behind the wheel, has been driving since he began his career at 25 in Natchez, MS. He has experience with tankers, reefers, dump trucks, and flatbed over-the-road hauls. Since joining Blair in 2010, Kenny has thrived, paying off three trucks and earning numerous safety awards. He's been honored as Contractor of the Month in 2018 and 2022, Contractor of the Quarter in 2022, and holds the prestigious Million Mile Safe Contractor title. Alongside his wife Patricia, Kenny is a proud parent to 5 beautiful children. They call Natchez, MS, home. Kenny's advice to new contractors is to value learning from veteran contractors, embrace individual lessons, and exercise patience every day to avoid costly mistakes. Congratulations, Kenny, on your success as an owner-operator! Your dedication is commendable, and we can't wait to honor you this Friday at the Contractor of the Year Awards Banquet.⭐😄

Tires Tires Tires
This year we're focusing on no BLTS. Cam M. explains tire protocol and how to avoid an Out of Service. Look for flat tires, 110 psi on all tires, and the stability of the tire on the tire rims. Your tires can be significantly affected by changing temperatures. Ensuring proper tire pressure and tread is essential for safe driving in changing weather conditions. Remember to check your tires in the morning, when you break, and in the evening. Stay proactive in addressing any potential safety concerns. Stay safe!
