Could your hips be causing your low back pain? ๐Ÿค”

The hip joint moves like a ball in a socket. But when your hips are weak or stiff, they can't move as well.

This puts extra strain on your lower back, causing pain.

That's why treating both your lower back and your hips is important when dealing with back pain! ๐Ÿ’ช

For example, if you suffered a pulled hamstring, why would we evaluate your back as well?

The reason is that it is all connected! ๐Ÿงฉ

To expand on the hamstring example, it was found that those with a history of hamstring strain had increased stiffness in the muscles in the lower back.

If we only treat the hamstring and ignore the back, you might not fully recover when you return to your daily activities.
