As we close out the 50th Anniversary EMS Week this year, we owe much gratitude to these men and their classmates for following through on Dr. Alan Dimick's lofty vision and hard work to bring paramedic care to the Birmingham region, laying a firm foundation that has been built on over the years to support the EMS system we have today. Alabama has seen more than 68,000 other paramedics follow in their footsteps down through the years. What a legacy!
Happy EMS Week from BREMSS and ATCC staff! We certainly honor all EMS personnel and look forward to forging the EMS system ahead with the help of all of our partners.
We are delighted to host this commemorative plaque and it will be displayed soon in the lobby of the BREMSS office, for all to see and treasure!
