This is so awesome!

Quincy Williams and Quinnen Williams, brothers from Birmingham, Alabama who now play together for the New York Jets, gave their grandmother a big hug after their historic game Sunday (Quinnen went to Bama while Quincy went to Murray State).

Quinnen and Quincy's mother Marquischa died 11 years ago at the age of 37.

Quincy and Quinnen became the first brothers in NFL history to each record a sack in the same game for the same team.
The former Wenonah Dragons combined for 19 tackles in the win over the Titans!

Congrats, guys!

I see that a Hoover big wig was at graduation ceremonies for Hoover High School.

Oh, and it was also nice to see Mayor Frank Brocato in attendance!

Congrats to HHS graduate Allie Simmons for receiving her high school diploma.
Her can-do attitude and beautiful smile sets a perfect example for all of us.

I know that Allie would love to hear from you.

I wanted to share with you a story that we had on the news this morning that caught my eye.

Destiny Nelson-Miles is a senior at Woodlawn High School in Birmingham.
Destiny is so driven that she has a 4.33 GPA and she's been accepted to 25 colleges and universities- she has been offered over $2.2 million in scholarship money.

Get this: Destiny has been taking part-time college classes since her freshman year in high school- that means that she will be a junior when she enrolls at UAB.

Destiny is a perfect example of hard work paying off.

I hope you can take a moment to congratulate Destiny.

You can watch Destiny interviewed by WVTM 13 reporter Fred Davenport here:
