As we celebrate Mother's Day this weekend, one of our recent BSN graduates shared the story of how she—and her mother—found a calling in nursing.
Jade England's journey began in the NICU, alongside her twin sister. Their first few months faced several challenges, but the experience led their mother Tara Wood to nursing. Now, more than 20 years later, Jade is following in her mother's footsteps and returning to the NICU in order to make a difference in her patients' lives.
“I want to be able to be that nurse to let the parents know that I was in their child’s place. I just want to provide the best care possible and hopefully sharing my story will make a difference in their stay in the NICU. I don’t want to give them false hope, but I also want them to know that miracles happen.”
