SEC Week 4 and Market Update Interest rates jumped to 6% this week. The last time interest rates were 6% was way back in 2005. More homes sold in 2005 than any other year (about 8.4 million). For comparison, about 7.8 million homes sold in 2020 (Source: Mortgage News Daily).
