Don't forget that SCI Cafe is tonight!🦐

Join us virtually tonight at 6:30pm with special guest, David Teichert-Coddington, Ph.D.

Greene Prairie Aquafarm, LLC. was established in 2001 to commercially produce shrimp in low salinity water of Greene County 150 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico. Earthen ponds are filled with low salinity ground water that must be amended with potassium and some magnesium for shrimp to survive. After 21 years, the most difficult part of the business is to compete in a market that imports more than 1.3 billion lbs/yr.
