Effective December 6, 2023, ALL PFA (Protection from Abuse) filings that were previously handled at Family Court (Birmingham Division) are to be filed at the Clerk's Office in the Domestic Relations Building located at 2124 7th Avenue Birmingham, AL 35203. If someone has questions regarding the over-the-counter filing process at Domestic Relations, he or she should contact the Clerk's Office at 205.325.5400.

Clients needing information regarding their court dates that are being reset will receive a new court notice from Domestic Relations within the upcoming weeks.
