BREAKING: The Detroit City Council has unanimously approved $7 million in ARPA funding for the redevelopment of the long-vacant Lee Plaza. The historic skyscraper will become affordable housing for seniors following a $59 million renovation by the Roxbury Group, saviors of the Metropolitan. The City otherwise would have been on the hook for the cost of its demolition. More details to come. You can read all about the history of the Lee on our website.
