HAPPY FRIDAY BHAM‼️

The late great Mrs. Shirley Chisholm once said, “Service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on this earth”. Here at YWCA Central Alabama (YWCA Central Alabama), we strive daily to honor such privilege by upholding our mission of eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

What’s more, we warmly open our arms to embrace the leaders of our future by paying homage to those from our past & present.

At last Friday’s CREW 2024 graduation, in addition to celebrating the program’s graduating interns, the FRC staff also recognized two individuals who have proven to be to staples of integrity, community advocates, and upholders of YW’s mission.

BHAM, please give a round of applause to the Honorees of our first inaugural CREW Legacy Fellow recognition award, Mr. Mohamed Jalloh & Mr. William Brown 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.

THANK YOU both for your continued service to the CREW program & Birmingham as a whole, your lasting impact on tomorrow’s leaders, and your decision to be the change.
