Westwood Baptist Church

Westwood Baptist Church will have our annual Christmas Eve Service on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at 4:00 pm in the sanctuary of the church. We invite you to celebrate the Birth of Jesus at this special service for the whole family that will have inspirational Christmas music, a brief encouraging message from the Bible, and the Lord’s Supper for all believers. Our Christmas Choir will present the musical “Rejoice! the King Has Come” on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. as part of our morning service. All are welcome!

Everyone is welcome to come to the Children’s Christmas Program presented on Wednesday, December 20, at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The kids will present their play “Manger Tales” and there will be Christmas songs as well. Also, there will be a snack supper and a devotional message by Joseph Kinnaird. The church ministry schedule will be adjusted during the Christmas holiday season. On Christmas Eve Sunday, December 24, we will not have Sunday School classes, but we will have a morning service at 10:30 a.m. There will also be our Christmas Eve Service that day at 4:00 p.m. On Wednesday, December 27, we will not have any church activities or service. at the church (205-798-3341). Westwood Baptist Church will have our annual “Trunks & Treats” Fall Festival on Sunday, October 29, 2023. It will be from 2:00 – 4:00 pm in the back parking lot of the church. The Westwood Ballet Ministry page has recently had some problems. If you need information about the Ballet, Irish Dance, or Fine Arts Ministry, please call Cindy Best at 205-798-0900.

Our Senior Adults will have a special luncheon trip to Decatur on Tuesday, October 10. They will leave the church at 9:30 a.m. They will have lunch at Big Bob Gibson’s BBQ and visit Scotts Orchard as well. Also, Brother Jim Kelling continues the Bible Study “Holy Spirit Living” on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. in classroom 128. All are welcome!

We will have the Lord’s Supper as part of the morning worship service on Sunday, October 29, 10:30 a.m. Prayerfully prepare your heart for this special worship time. For more information call the church office at 205-798-3341.

The Westwood Women’s Ministry will go to Tannehill Trade Days on Saturday, October 21. They will leave the church at 9:00 a.m. Also, they will attend the West Jefferson Festival of Trees on Thursday, November 16.
