🦷 We love our littles!
Is your child nervous or afraid to come to the dentist?
How about to sit in the actual chair?
Both our pediatric teams are amazing at working with the kiddos to ensure they are comfortable and have a good visit. 🦷
Tips that might help:
- Scheduling an appointment when their first tooth is in, or by age one. This helps establish a positive relationship and allows the pediatric dentist to monitor oral care at an early age.
- Keep it positive! Using positive encouragement and reinforcement when speaking about the dentist associates the dentist as a "helper." Stay away from phrases like, "Don't worry, they won't hurt you." 😁
- If your child isn't having a good day or won't open his/her mouth, it is OKAY! Our staff is F A N T A S T I C about working around a child's mood or behaviors. They are the professionals! (See pictured here, Miss. Stella wasn't about to sit in the dental chair - so Jess, RDH worked with her! Good job Stella AND Jess!)

🦷 Did you know......?
Our founders, Dr. Bradley King and Dr. Mark Persson were sitting at the north Krolls many moons ago discussing possible names for joining practices. They didn't like the idea of using their names because that could be limiting when thinking about the future of what 'could be'. And, Dr. King said, "Ninja Dentist" "Do**us" and "Wimpy" also didn't seem like good choices. 😆
They threw out Prairie Rose and landed on that because not only is it our state flower it is a beautiful one! Based on where the beginning of Prairie Rose Family Dentists took place, it seemed to make sense.
That's how Prairie Rose Family Dentists came to be! 🦷
Dr. Mark Persson passed in 2005 and Dr. Bradley King retired in 2020.
We are so thankful and grateful for both that paved the way!

Born in Bismarck and raised in North Dakota we are excited to welcome her back to Bismarck and part of our team. 🎉

Throughout her 16 years with Prairie Rose Family Dentists Kristi's primary role was to assist Dr. Carlson, but she didn't stop there! She voluntarily helped at all three of our locations while assisting over seventeen different dentists without batting an eye.
Her dedication to patient care, helpful nature to other co-workers, and ambitious nature will be missed. Words cannot express the gratitude we have for the leadership, determination and efficiency Kristi carries herself with.

In honor of Memorial Day and to pay our HIGH respects to all who have lost their lives serving, we will be closed on Monday, May 27th.
We will reopen on Tuesday, May 28th with our normal business hours. 📞
