Big day at All Smiles! We broke ground for our addition! You asked, we listened. More treatment rooms, state of the art sterilization center and a beautiful in-house lab! We have out grown this space and we are embracing the growth. We will need your patience the next few months during construction but we *cannot* wait to share this space with you all! Today marks three years of having Kelly as a vital part of our All Smiles Dental family! Not only does she masterfully coordinate all our team meetings, training, and events, but her calm, sweet, and smart presence makes every day brighter. We’re rocking our very coolest socks in honor of World Down Syndrome Day!

And why the wild socks? When scientists look at our chromosomes through a microscope, they kind of resemble pairs of socks, often appearing striped due to staining techniques. So, we wear our zaniest socks (some of us even an extra one!) to represent the extra chromosome in the most fabulous way possible.

Have you felt dismissed by a provider when asking about ties? Maybe you were told that ties aren’t a big deal? Or that they are “made up”? Ask yourself these questions:

1. Did the provider do a functional oral assessment? Were they knowledgeable about oral anatomy and functional movements of the mouth? Or was it a “quick peek”?

2. What does the provider think is causing the symptoms your baby is experiencing AND what is their plan to treat the root cause of these issues?

These are very fair questions. Questions that we at ASD get asked daily and they are welcomed. If you feel like the providers answers don’t align with your values then seek a second opinion. YOU are your babies advocate and YOU know what is best.

It’s our girl Lyndsey’s 5 year work anniversary! Hooray! Lyndsey has been with the practice from the beginning and has been integral in helping All Smiles become what it is today. Her passion for dentistry is obvious but she is so much more than that. She is an incredible team player, loyal coworker and dedicated friend.
