*Barbershop reopening plan and requirements for June 1st 2020*

I wanted to thank you for your patience as we navigate this difficult time. I have received the new regulations I am able to open under starting June 1st. I am very excited to get back to work and see you all. I am required to make some adjustments for this phase of opening. I am hoping these are just temporary but will not know how long these restrictions will be in place until we get further direction from the governor and the Barber Board of MN.

Here are a few things I would like you to know that will help things run smoothly when I open. I will not be able to provide any services unless you (the client) is wearing a mask. We understand this may be uncomfortable for some of you and that some may not want to wear them. Please know it specifically says all service providers and clients must wear masks at time of service or no service is to be provided. Because of this I am not allowed to offer beard trims or shaves at this time. I do not want to have to turn anyone away so you may bring your own mask or we will have some disposable ones for those who do not have any. We are also unable to take walk in clients, so please book your appointment online.

On the day of your appointment, please reschedule if you are not feeling well or are living with someone who is showing signs of being sick. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for your appointment, and please don’t have anyone join you unless you are a minor who will be with a parent, this will limit overcrowding in the shop.

I will have cleaning and disinfecting protocols in place to ensure a clean and safe environment for you and your family.

My family and I would like to extend our gratitude to all of you for being so supportive and patient during this time. I could never express how much all the emails, calls and texts meant to me during this uncertain time. I had no idea how things were going to play out but each of you made it easier with your support and kind words. I can’t wait to get back to work and see all of you in person.

Came in to hang some signs and clean up a few lose ends didn’t feel right unplugging the barber pole.

I feel it is necessary to reach out to each and everyone of you this week. First of all, thank you for your continued long-standing support of my family business.

Seeing many of you these past days reminds us of why I love doing my job at the barbershop!

As the impact of Covid-19 in our community is growing, I want to share my thoughts, concerns, and precautions with you.

Zac’s Barbershop has always been in compliance with the State of MN Barber board regulations regarding hygiene and sanitation. To maintain our high standards, I am increasing precautions. In addition to the normal required sanitation by the state, I will increase the disinfecting of our common areas which include but are not limited to door k***s, desk tops, seating and tables.

I will continue to monitor health department recommendations and I will close the shop with the first sign of sickness or if I have come into direct contact with a person positive for COVID-19.

I ask that you join me in exercising these precautions as well. Please remain home if you are not feeling well. Your own individual health and hygiene practices are truly your best defense against the spread of illness.

I also encourage you to use alternative non-contact greetings as opposed to our usual hand shakes.
