For anyone who is newer to my page, first of all welcome, SO nice to have you here!!

Today I wanted to give a little pep talk about a topic most women sadly keep quiet about.

I’m a proud mom of three between 20 and 8. But being a mom also changed my body, I had three c-sections and my skin did never bounce back. No matter if I exercised on a regular basis or what I ate, my extra skin was always present.

Finally after years of contemplating and cancelling my appointment twice, I decided to finally go for it. I got a tummy tuck and my muscles sewn back together (after literally 20 years of separation) this spring and the only thing I regret is to not have it done earlier!

I’m telling you this to hopefully take away your guilt and shame around this topic and show you that you are definitely not alone in this! I personally think that there is way too much dishonesty about plastic surgery and in my opinion that’s a big mistake.

As you might know by now, I am a huge advocate for blazers. It’s a wardrobe essential that can easily be dressed up or down and instantly pulls a look together.

The key to the perfect blazer is fit, style and color. Every body type has its own blazer cuts that look the most flattering. Ideally you want a color that makes you shine, reduces shadowing around the eyes, makes wrinkles less visible and so on (yes, the right colors for your skin tone can do all of this and more). Another box to hit is style. If the style of the blazer doesn’t reflect your personality, even the right cut and color won’t do it. You’ll look at yourself in the mirror and feel like something’s off but you don’t know why.

To me it’s always fascinating to watch what the right garment can do for someone. It’s magical! 🪄

I still get that from my clients, they oftentimes think they can’t mix metals at all. The truth is you can mix anything you like to mix as long as you feel good in it!

My necklace has a mix of silver and gold, which is the perfect piece to draw in my silver shoes and gold jacket combo.

When I saw this amazing tulle skirt I fell in love right away, but tried to be good and not buy another thing for a few weeks… Well, as you can see that didn’t last long. LOL! Hey there ❤️

I’m officially back from my break, already on day two, but I haven’t had the time yet to put a post together. LOL! I’m really glad I took August off (true European) to recharge and spend some time with my family, because now my busy styling season is on. 💫 I LOVE what I do though SO much and that’s why it doesn’t ever feel like work. I’m truly grateful for all the amazing women I met along the way so far!

I also have some EXCITING news for you!!! My newest styling service “Red Carpet Ready” will launch on my website (link in bio) tomorrow! I’m really excited about this, it’s such a FUN service and very much needed for the upcoming event and holiday season! 💫

Every color has a meaning and pink is found to provide a sense of calm and the calmness brings relaxation and contentment.

I was wondering why I’m so drawn to pink right now, not that I’ve never liked it before, but I was’t as obsessed with it!

It’s a really busy time at the moment, which definitely makes it hard to relax. What are you doing to relax your mind and body? I would love to get some tips!

In my look today I stuck to the monochrome idea just for the bottom and top and added champagne colored sparkly pumps for some extra glamor! ✨ If you know me that’s no surprise to you! 😝

There are many tricks and tweaks you can apply in styling, today I wanted to get a little bit into the details of my look:

𝑩𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆:
The no-collar style is super sleek and doesn’t add extra volume like an actual collar does. It’s a great style for women with broad shoulders and also a shorter neck. It is embellished with densely embellished Swarowski crystals. Dense patterns always make things appear smaller while broad ones achieve the opposite.

𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒔:
These jeans are skinnier on top and flare out a bit on the bottom which makes the legs look extra long, especially if worn with a pointed toe heel. The rise is on the higher end. The most flattering rise is when the waist band ends right at your natural waistline. Horizontal lines create width and you always want this on the smallest parts of your body.

If you know your body type and you want to dress accordingly either dress your shape or even it out, meaning if you have a fuller bust and smaller hips (typically also a wider shoulder area) which is called a V, create an A by wearing more volume on your bottom half, especially in the hip area. Large pockets, accent buttons, A-line skirts, pleated trousers are your friend. Stick with less volume on the top.

Prints are not only amazing to use as a cheat sheet for pairing different colors but also to create the illusion of less or more volume.

As an example if you are an A-body type (bigger hips and thighs than chest and shoulders) in order to create more harmony you would wear smaller and denser prints on the bottom and wider and larger prints on top. This instantly makes your bottom half appear smaller and your top half larger. Isn’t that such a cool hack?

It’s about how straight and skeletal or curvy you are. There are three different types: ectomorph (more skeletal and straight shaped), endomorph (more curvy and typically size 12 and up) or mesomorph (sits right between the other two).

Next to your body type the somatotype is an important factor to know to make sure to stay away from certain fabrics, prints and cuts, because they don’t flatter your body. In the long run this will save you time, money and keep you away from style confusion!

The photo was taken at last month’s photo shoot taken by at my friend’s fabulous cafe/boutique for the February issue of the “Neighbors of Bloomfield Hills” magazine. I had SO much fun with this shoot, there was lots of laughter involved!

Do more of what makes you happy… I feel this is an important daily reminder for all of us. Too often we just do what we have to do ignoring our inside voices and feelings. Life is too short to just function, we also gotta live and be ourselves, right? ❤️

Also have fun with your style! I encourage you to step out of the box sometimes, get creative and maybe even discover a style personality that you’d have never thought you would like.

To me it truly is such a beautiful feeling to be able to add a little bit of happiness and confidence into other women’s lives! We all definitely need it!

Take a look at the two flat lays I created, the only thing I changed is the handbag. The outfit itself is a mix between pastels and white which creates a lot of harmony for the eye.

I played around and swapped just the handbag from a pastel yellow into a warm orange-yellow and look what happened. While the pastel yellow paired with the pastel pink and white creates harmony, the deeper orange-yellow not so much, right?

Now here is the deal! None of the combinations is wrong, it depends on what you want to achieve with your look. Do you want the handbag to pop and like a more dramatic style, go with the more saturated one and in case you want to create a more classic vibe and not have the handbag stand out, choose the pastel yellow colored one. They obviously don’t have to be Bottega, Dior or any other designer name, this is just an example. You might ask yourself what a capsule wardrobe is. It’s a perfect hack for women who don’t want to put too much thought into their daily outfit choices, a clever concept to pack for a trip but also applicable for everyday life. A capsule wardrobe is very helpful to stay in a certain budget without feeling like you have nothing to wear and can certainly be tailored to any budget.

It’s all about creating different modules which all mix and match. One module consists of three tops, two bottoms and one outer layer. Each added module should work together with the ones you already created. With three modules there are 18 clothing items which can get you up to 216 outfit combinations. Isn’t that mind blowing?

I personally love an all white moment, to me it’s very elegant and sophisticated.

This is really important, because if you don't feel connected with your outfit, it's like wearing a costume and will show. Look in the mirror and ask yourself if your outfit matches the vibe you wanted to create. Always do a 'vibe check' before you walk out the door. If you don't like what you see in the mirror, ask yourself what you could change to make it better. Which vibe did you want to create? Edgy, classic, creative, Boho, romantic, dramatic or boss babe? There are so many choices and that's where the fun and creativity in styling lays. Be bold, be unapologetic, be you, whatever this means for you personally! Getting dressed is supposed to be fun and not a burden, always keep that in mind!

Do event invites scare you sometimes because the first thought that comes into your mind is that you have nothing to wear?

It’s always a good idea to have some dressy pieces in your closet, which fit you like a glove, make you feel beautiful and could be worn to a last minute event. I promise you, this will save you lots of stress, time and money.

Nothing’s worse than being “forced” to last minute shop for an outfit. In most cases you won’t find the perfect one, that makes you feel special and stunning, which as a result will leave you frustrated and worse case scenario you might not even want to go to the event. In addition you definitely waisted your money because you might wear your new look just once.

If you don’t want to wear a dress, a pantsuit is always a great option. You can easily dress it up with more glamorous accessories - think sparkle, sequins, metallics, patent leather, velvet, feathers, statement jewelry…
