Bloomingdale Township Supervisor Michael D. Hovde, Jr. and Bloomingdale Township Clerk Branka Poplonski helped the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon today at the Hope center in Bloomingdale. The Hope Center provides a variety of services for addiction and recovery relief and support, youth mental health services and other community based services with a faith-based emphasis. Welcome to Bloomingdale! 

District 13 hosted CHARACTER COUNTS! training for members of our staff as well as other local agencies last week.

Bloomingdale Township Supervisor Michael D. Hovde, Jr. helped welcome Bloomingdale School District 13 teachers and staff back for the new school year today. Interesting fact, Mike started as a kindergartener 50 years ago at DuJardin school! How time flies! Bloomingdale Township wishes all of the parents and students in our township a safe, healthy, and successful school year!

The Township's contractor, CLARKE, will be performing a Township wide adult mosquito control application including the ATV treatment along the North Central Regional Trail (Keeneyville) under the core program, tonight, July 2, 2024, weather conditions permitting.

Bloomingdale Township Supervisor Michael D. Hovde Jr helping Chuck Kinnaman and the Bloomingdale Roselle Rotary honor Amazon Fresh for their outstanding support of the Bloomingdale Township Food Pantry. Our food pantry serves several hundred families each month.

Congratulations to Chuck Kinnaman being named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Bloomingdale Roselle Rotary Club. 20 year Rotarian Bloomingdale Library Director Tim Jarzemsky presented him the pin. Chuck is a long time volunteer at our food pantry, dedicating countless hours of service in driving and picking up food. Chuck also was honored with an award for his 18 years of Rotary and Perfect attendance.

Township Supervisor Michael D. Hovde Jr. and Township Assessor John T. Dabrowski along with Carol Stream Mayor Frank Saverino, State Senator Seth Lewis and West Chicago Mayor Ruben Pineda  helped support the BAPS charities today at their Spirit of Service 5K.

BEES! A resident called to mention that there were some issues with flying insects on the Lake St., Bridge, after a closer inspection we noticed a great number of wild honeybees had taken up residence. Bloomingdale Township contacted the Cook DuPage , beekeepers association and found a licensed bee saving company who safely relocated the bees to a local apiary.
