There they are!!! The BEST donuts in the south! (Can’t rule out my pal Hanisch Bakery and Coffee Shop of course 😜)

Started my 30th Birthday out with a few amazing treats. When you travel to Nashville, you must check out Five Daughters Bakery who are famous for their 100 layer donuts. To die for!!

We will NOT be at the Ham Lake Farmers Market this evening, and we will not have croissant Saturday this week, because your favorite cake maker is headed to Nashville for my 30th!! Be sure to stop in the store this week and grab some sweet treats 🎂

I wanted to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who supported us this past weekend, and who continues to support whenever they can. Our stuffed croissant debut went off without a hitch, and we received such fantastic feedback! Thank you to the Andover Fun Fest for allowing us to take part in your event, and to my amazing staff who helped us knock these crazy last few days out of the park. I couldn’t do it without you.

For those wondering when our croissants will be available in store, here is my plan:

Don’t mind me…. Baked ALL day today. But… the secret brand new dessert that’s launching THIS Friday and Saturday at the Andover Family Fun Fest is being announced tonight!!!! Stay tuned!

Do you ever have a “good” idea and then it just turns out like crap? Yeah same. 😂

This might be one of the ugliest cupcakes I’ve ever made, but I can assure you it tastes good. It’s a raspberry lemon sugar cookie. My creative juices aren’t flowing today. In fact, I think they are clogged. Jammed up. Might need to call my buddies at Terry Overacker Plumbing to unclog the creativity.

Anyways…. Come buy some treats today if you’re bored. July is slower than my clogged creativity right now. Okay bye.

Strawberry Malt cupcakes are in the case today and holy BUCKETS they are good. Vanilla cake filled with strawberry preserve, topped with a malted strawberry whipped cream using our homemade strawberry sauce, with more sauce on top.

It’s Farmers Market Wednesday! Mickman Brothers, Inc parking lot in Ham Lake off of 65! Grab some sweets to bring up north for the weekend! We have dessert platters, macarons, cake slices, cookie platters, and pupcakes! 3-7pm

Heading somewhere for the 4th?! Bring Something Sweet! We’re open 11-6 today! The case is full of delicious treats!

Closed Thursday the 4th

Red, White, and Boom cupcakes are in the case! Chocolate chip cake filled with pastry cream, topped with vanilla buttercream and pop rocks 💥

We also have the RWaB cheesecake lasagna, a case full of of cakes, dessert platters, cookie platters, and more!

Open until 6pm. Come grab some treats before heading up North, or to the neighbors, or to grandmas, or to the lake. Basically, anything you have going on this weekend is a reason for dessert 🤣

Well this wasn’t on my agenda for this rainy Tuesday, but story time.

There has been a cute little birds nest in the canopy in front of the store for a few months. We watched the birds make the nest and we have watched them come in and out to feed their babies. All of a sudden this morning I look out and there are two men with a broom handle knocking down the nest. The babies all went flopping on the sidewalk and the street. I ran out there and was like ummmm hello there are babies all over the road now?! They just said “yeah we’re cleaning up the nest and poop”. And didn’t seem to care that there were babies dispersed all over the road and that the mom and dad bird were chirping and flying around in a panic trying to save their tinies. Then they proceeded to drive away.

But have no fear, the Something Sweet team came to the rescue. We put the box under where the nest was and are hoping the mom and dad come back. The babies are so close to flying away!! I’d guess in the next day or so.

Anyways, I think being a mom has made me turn into the world’s largest emotional wack job and I could never let these babies struggle in the middle of the road.
