Switchyard Park - City of Bloomington, IN
Switchyard Park is a 65-acre park located on the south side of Bloomington, Ind. Admission is free. until 8 p.m. Rental spaces are available at Switchyard Park.
The park includes basketball, pickleball and bocce ball courts, a skate park, dog park, picnic shelter, playground and spray pad (open seasonally). The Community Foundation Switchyard Plaza spray pad is open from Memorial Day through Sept. 30, from 10 a.m. Operating hours are subject to change based on weather conditions. The Community Foundation Switchyard Plaza Spray Pad is up and running.
The spray pad is open daily, Memorial Day through Labor Day, from 10 a.m.–8 p.m.
Labor Day through Sept. 30, the spray pad is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Admission is free. For up-to-the-minute information about changes in the spray pad hours of operation, call the Aquatics Hotline at 812-349-3741.
3, 2, 1...GO! Mark your calendars for the Heroes 5k + 1-Mile Walk taking place at Switchyard Park on Saturday, September 21. This year, we are teaming up with Bloomington Police Department and City of Bloomington, IN - Fire Department to raise money for our local first responders!
Wounded Warrior Project will be kicking off race day activities with a motivational speech starting at 8:45 a.m. 5k will begin at 9 a.m., with the 1-mile walk starting shortly after, at 9:05 a.m.
Stick around after the race and enjoy concessions provided by Heartwork Brewing and Bloomington Bagel Company.

Parklympics Summer Spectacular will be held at Switchyard Park, on the Main Stage Lawn, Saturday, Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The Parklympics Decathlon will include 10 events for all ages. Entry is $10 per participant.
