🦷Are you looking for a new work family? Bloomington Family Dental is hiring a full-time CHARISIDE DENTAL ASSISTANT! Experience is preferred; however, we will train the right person. 🙂

📍Job Duties:
*assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
*taking dental radiographs (x-rays)
*asking about the patient's medical history
*serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
*helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
*providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)
*taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth
*communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)
*Other office duties as assigned

📍Our office uses the following and experience preferred but will train the right person:
*Eaglesoft Dental Software
*Carestream Digital X-ray
*Sirona Orthopos SL Panoramic/Cone Beam
*CEREC
*Waterlase MD hard/soft tissue laser

🦷Happy National Floss Day! 🦷

Did any of you get some 🦃 caught in between your teeth yesterday? To get it out safely, use dental floss!

To floss, take about 18 inches of dental floss, wrap most around your index finger on one hand, and a small amount around the opposite finger on the other hand. Gently slide the floss between your teeth, curve it around each tooth in a C shape, and move it up and down to remove plaque. Repeat for each tooth, using a clean section of floss each time.
