A couple of furnace tips if you are running electric heat today!

1) If your furnace is keeping the house warm at 60°, keep in mind that's 60° above 0. It's working.
2) Trying to force your furnace to stay at 70° in the current temperature can do long-term damage to your furnace.
3) Save your pocketbook by keeping your temperature in the mid-60s and wear more clothing!
4) Adding a fire to your environment to help raise the temperature in your house will actually do the opposite. With your flue open, you are letting heat from the house leave up the chimney.
