Say cheese! It's Picture Day at Westwood on Wednesday, September 18th! All students and staff will have their photo taken by Lifetouch. There is no cost for photos to be taken. Did you know that you can use Box Tops to raise money for Westwood? Downloading the Box Tops App makes it super easy. Download the App via the App Store and select Westwood Elementary (School ID: 171105) as your school. Just scan your receipts to see if any of your items purchased qualify. Right now through the end of Aug/Sept you can earn BONUS Box Tops at several retailers including Costco, Target, Sams Cub and more!

Great news Westwood families. We still have over half our summer left to enjoy!!! Whew! Today is an exciting day at Westwood Elementary as our 5th graders graduated this morning and will be moving onto Middle School. Congratulations and best wishes on your next chapter. Unlimited opportunity lies ahead of you. Go out and grab it. Now, it’s time to celebrate!!!🎉

It is the last week of the 23-24 school year for Westwood (no way) and we’d like to take a moment to thank our PTA volunteers. We accomplished great things together this year. Thank you for sharing your time, talents and pouring your heart into Westwood, our staff and kids. You are the difference. Have a great summer!

Join us for our first ever international night, Worldwide Westwood! Featuring games & crafts from around the world, food trucks Eggroll Queen & Pizza Karma, student & family lead information booths and some amazing entertainment provided by OMGIrishDance and Somali Museum of Minnesota Somali Dance Troupe!

This event is open to the community, so please invite your friends! Kids must attend with a responsible adult.

One of our incredible Westwood staff found the missing piece on school grounds! It’s a little beat up, but still functional.

It’s unfortunate that it was removed, but we are SO happy to be able to reopen the Gaga Pit tomorrow, Friday, May 17th!

This school year, our AMAZING Wildcat families raised more than $20,000 during our Fall Fun Run! As a reward and a way to give back to the kids and community who support us, the PTA purchased a Gaga Ball Pit for our school grounds.

We are sad to say that after being installed for just over a month, an important piece of the Gaga Ball Pit went missing overnight. Until this piece can be recovered or replaced the Gaga Pit will be closed.

BPS and Westwood Elementary , in partnership with Planet Fitness, is kicking off our food collection drive to benefit VEAP next week. We are some fun dress up days planned throughout the week as we support this great cause.

Bloomington Public Schools 2024 Food Drive in support of Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP) in Bloomington, is coming up soon April 15-19, 2024. Westwood Elementary is teaming up again with Planet Fitness to help people in need by collecting essential items and monetary donations. We invite you to join us in support of this great cause.
