It's Mission Partner Monday. Meet Rosy! She is a Patient Advocate with the Quality and Safety Department at OSF St. Joseph.

Rosy works the day shift and has been with OSF HealthCare for twenty-five years. Her favorite part of working for OSF HealthCare is that every day is different. She gets to know some really wonderful people, even for a short time, and she appreciates the opportunity to help people no matter the situation.

Rosy enjoys walking alone or with family and friends, antique shopping, and bike rides. She said her family went to Michigan City Beach last fall, which was amazing. Rosy’s 3-year-old grandson loved it. They took a walk out to the lighthouse. One evening, dozens of sailboats came into the doc at sunset; she described it as - so majestic.

People may be surprised that changes do not bother Rosy – she uses it to learn something new and stay positive through it all. Rosy added, “While my grandmother was alive, she would pray the rosary every day and say a special prayer for each of us. I have that same feeling of comfort inside, knowing that the Sisters are praying for me daily, too.”

If Rosy was a pasta, she would be a bow-tie pasta because they enjoy dressing up!

There are so many fun things to learn about a Mission Partner! Thank you, Rosy, for always serving with the greatest care and love.

We hit a big milestone this week! Since 2006, more than 4,000 dogs and cats on my weekly pet segment have been adopted!!💜

We couldn't have done it without the great employees and volunteers TAPS Pekin, IL. They do all the hard work!
