My attorney and I went through about 20 new name ideas before we arrived at The Cake Obsession. Happy Saturday! I rarely get pictures taken because I never make it a priority. I'm going to make it a point to change that going forward. At Brown Sugar Retreats, was in the building, and he absolutely rocked the event! From Sunday to Wednesday, he tirelessly captured so many unforgettable moments from the retreat. This super cute set of cookies was for a baby shower yesterday. The young lady who placed the order submitted an inquiry form on my website, and we exchanged a few emails. She booked her order with me weeks ago. We never spoke or saw each other until yesterday, when she came to pick up the cookies. It was a busy week for me, as I had orders going out almost every day. By the time I completed her order and met her for pick up, I was exhausted. I opened the boxes to show her the cookies, and she was so excited. I turned to look at her and was pleasantly surprised by her adorable appearance. She was all dolled up with her glam eyes, beautiful long hair, and a cute pink bow pulling some of her hair back. Even though I was depleted of energy, the look on her face and how happy she was reminded me of why I do this work.

Deja, we don't know each other, but yesterday's small interaction gave me the energy to move through the rest of my day. For that, I say thank you! I wish you and your family many blessings as you welcome your new addition. Peace and love!

.kimble gave us total creative freedom with this cake design, but it had to include teal or black and a bow. Well, I shoved myself out of my box with this one 🤣😂! I started with an all-white, abstract design but struggled with where to place the teal bow 😭😭. When I finished, I realized the cake didn't need a bow, so I pivoted and decorated the other side. However, I again ended up with a finished cake that didn't need a bow because the shape of the cake itself is abstract 😭😭. I'm happy with both designs 🩵🥰, but a bit frustrated that I didn't quite complete the assignment😫.

I have to say, this experience was a great learning opportunity for me when it comes to approaching a design. Throughout the process, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of the design principles and their applications. I was able to experiment with different techniques and approaches, which allowed me to develop a better sense of what works best in various situations. Overall, I felt like it was a very comprehensive learning experience that gave me a solid foundation to build upon in my future design projects.

We used a product called pasta top by to cover the cakes, which worked like a dream and tasted delicious. I also used a stencil from , who designs gorgeous stencils.
