The fifteenth of September marks the start of National Hispanic Heritage Month, and we come to you with some information on Albert Baez😉😉
Albert Baez was born in Puebla, Mexico in 1912, and moved to New York when he was young.
Years later, he studied mathematics and physics at university, receiving his PhD from Stanford. In the 1940’s, he invented an x-ray reflection microscope, something that is still used in today’s x-rays.
While he continued his research with X-rays, Baez developed a passion for changing how physics was taught in schools. Throughout the 1960s, he worked on expanding STEM education in schools in Asia, Africa, and South America.
While he passed away in 2007, his legacy and influence on STEM and science in schools remain!!
