BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Boise Zombie Walk is under new/old management!
Some of you may remember the "Queen of the Dead" or aka Lora. She used to run the zombie walk back in the day when it was much smaller and she grew it into an amazing event. And ready to bring the Boise Zombie Walk back from the dead!!

Prepare for the zombie walks' return this October!! Details will be posted through the next few months so please check back frequently for those.

I'm glad to be back with my zombie loving people. Let's get this event back on track and back to bringing joy and fun for everyone!

Okay Zombies, I have a special request for you all...if you're willing.

Recently Troy and I came across this article about a young cancer patient from Maine.

http://abcnews.go.com/Lifestyle/boy-terminal-cancer-wishes-halloween-cards-world/story?id=50390239

He loves Halloween and asked for Halloween cards to brighten his day. For the low cost of a stamp, we can all help put a smile on his face.

SEND CARDS TO:
BROCK CHADWICK
11 MCKENNEY DRIVE
BIDDEFORD, ME 04005-2151

We'll be sending one for sure, and I'm hoping that as many of you are willing will do the same. Let's show this boy some BZW love. We'd really love for him to see how many of these cards come from our horde, so if you don't mind, add something like "BZW Horde Member" to your card...

Boise Zombie Walk

ZOMBIES!!! PLEASE READ THIS POST!!!

Okay Zombies, today is the day. BZW 2017 is just hours away and I wanted to let you all know a little bit about what you can expect tonight.

The last few months, and especially the last few weeks, have been beyond hectic for me and my husband, Troy. I had a bit of difficulty during my pregnancy, leading to our son arriving 7 weeks early. We spent the last 3 weeks with him in the St. Luke's NICU, and finally JUST made it home this past week. Needless to say, with all the crazy going on in our personal lives, BZW planning took a bit of a back seat.

Due to my inability to concentrate on walk related things over the past couple of months, we have been forced to scale back the event and make a couple of changes this year.

WE ARE NOT RENTING OR ASSEMBLING AT CAPITOL PARK. Instead, we will be meeting just across the street, in front of the Frank Steunenberg statue.

THERE WILL NOT BE A RAFFLE OR A FOOD DRIVE. HOWEVER, WE WILL HAVE A BEST MAKEUP & BEST COSTUME CONTEST FOR BOTH ADULTS (18+) AND YOUTH (under 18). If you wish to be considered for the costume contest, YOU MUST REPORT TO MYSELF OR TROY TO SIGN UP AND HAVE YOUR PHOTO TAKEN BETWEEN 6PM AND 6:30PM. The judges will review the entrants and select the winners who will be announced before we leave on the walk.

The ADULT (18+) prizes will each include a $25 Gift Certificate to American Classic Tattoo in Nampa, as well as a pair of tickets to the Asylum Dance Variety Show, brought to you by Evolution Dance.

The YOUTH (under 18) prizes will each include a gift pack from The Reveal, as well as a small goodie bag provided by Evolution Dance.

AGAIN, TO BE ENTERED IN THE COSTUME CONTEST, YOU MUST REPORT TO MYSELF OR TROY TO SIGN UP AND HAVE YOUR PHOTO TAKEN.

I do apologize for my failure to make this year's walk bigger and better than ever like I had intended, but I hope that you will all come out and enjoy yourselves tonight, despite the changes.

If you have any questions, please feel free to message me, Jayme Lyn Standfill, and I will do my absolute best to get back to you in a timely fashion.

Hey everyone! Here is the map of the walk route we'll be taking tomorrow night! We've got three "wait/catch-up" spots where we can stop and regroup since the hoard always seems to get separated along the way.

Make sure you dress warm tomorrow night! Looks like it'll be 49 when we start walking and drop almost 10 degrees by 9pm!

10/13/2017

Hey Zombies, the Balcony Club on 8th and Idaho will be offering free admission to anyone dressed as a zombie on Saturday night! If anyone is so inclined, an informal Zombie Crawl might be fun after the walk.

Hey Zombies! We've decided to dedicate our walk this year to George Romero, creator of "Night of the Living Dead" and many other Zombie cult classics!

The theme is The Romerocalypse! Pattern your zombie after one of the movies, or go for a full grayscale (black and white) makeup!

Okay zombie horde! I need your help. I am currently in the hospital, about to have my baby boy 7 weeks early... I'm still working on trying to get everything pulled together for BZW-2017, but I'm going to need all the help I can get.

What We Need:
Donations to go fund me to help pay for the park rental and event insurance.
Donations of cash, gift cards or prizes to be raffled off in the $1 raffle, as well as Costume/Makeup contest prizes.
Food and beverage vendors interested in feeding the horde. (Vendor fee is $45).

If you or anyone you know would like to help in any way, please message the walk page (as comment notifications sometimes get lost) and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Please bear with me,

Thanks, Jayme

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to Drew Darko for our first Go Fund Me donation! Keep them coming everyone. We can't do this without you.
