It’s been a while since I introduced myself, and a LOT has changed so I thought it was time to get reacquainted! 🎉
I am many things, but one of my favorite is that I help other businesses build and market strong brands.
I am a Canva Expert, a Squarespace web designer, and certified business coach. I went to school for psychology and business which explains a lot about how I see the world. I am always learning and growing and I have a special place in my heart for introverts and business owners with mental health challenges because often times they have the most to offer and share with the world.
For the longest time I was so afraid of showing up and taking up space. As I’ve learned to accept who God made me to be, my desires to make an impact by using my gifts have grown. I am a problem solver, a challenger, and always looking for the bright side to everything. I am creative and strategic, which makes being a marketing strategist something that feels just as natural as breathing to me!
I think that building a strong brand helps us harness our unique gifts, allowing us to serve the people who can benefit from these gifts while providing for the people we love most.
I believe making enough noise to matter is one of the most courageous things we can do, and that is what I’m here to help YOU do too.

👶🏻👶🏻 I’m a single twin mom. When I’m not working, I’m dancing to Disney music and getting cuddles. I love being a boy mom!
☀️☀️I am in recovery and just celebrated five years of freedom from alcohol.
💪🏼💪🏼 I am the typical oldest “bossy” sister turned entrepreneur, but I’m introverted and have to work hard to put myself out there!
📖📖I try to read 52 books every year. Last year didn’t come close but this year I’m on book 12 so far! Maybe I should start sharing what I’m reading in my stories.

If I had to pick ONE… my social media fear would be this:
That as soon as I figure out the newest “thing” or how to get the algorithm on MY SIDE, everything will change again.
You see, I’m the A+ or failed, perfectionist, slightly OCD individual who likes to know how to get it right every time. I used to feel like what I put into my social media is what I got out of it.
You too, may feel very out of control of social media growth and staying on top of what works in this second. You may not have a team that can engage for you for hours. You may have nap time to get as much done as possible before you are chasing toddlers again.
What I have learned with fear though is that it usually showing me one of three things:
👉 I have a perspective that needs reframed
👉 I need support from a resource, a person, or a new skill
👉 I have a mindset block and am trying to fix things outside of my control
Lets take this back to the algorithm.
👉 Instead of being frustrated that I can’t keep up with changes, I see an opportunity to always be learning new ways to engage with my audience and potential audience
👉 I can find ways to streamline my process and implement changes in a way that fits with my business and I can follow accounts that specialize in keeping up with changes
👉 I can remember that even though I can’t control viewership all the time, I can make sure that when my content DOES get seen, it is freaking GOOD content. I can focus on consistency, quality, and nurturing my audience through my own customer journey that I do have some control over.

This post will AGE WELL, because what I’m about to say is going to become MORE relevant over the next year, and beyond.
The number one reason marketing and branding will grow your business is because they CONFIRM your BUSINESS IDENTITY.
Consumers are presented with more options and more business content screaming for their attention. They may get hooked in by original content or eye-catching reels. But there is NOTHING MORE DISAPPOINTING then a consumer getting excited from a first impression than looking deeper, and being....
UNIMPRESSED.
In fact, the first feelings a consumer will feel is...
DUPED.
SCAMMED.
DISAPPOINTED.
SKEPTICAL.
It is instant validation for them to keep moving.
On the flip side, imagine that same consumer looking into a business and they see...
VISUAL CONFIRMATION THAT YOU TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SERIOUSLY…
AND THEY SHOULD TO.
-Your visuals are consistent
-It is easy to see how you can add value
-You have built a real brand, and they can trust you
Just like that little blue checkmark on Instagram lets consumers know “this person/business” is the real deal, your marketing and branding does the EXACT SAME THING.
At the end of the day you can entertain and hook consumers all day long, and do it well, but IT DOESN’T MATTER, IF —>
They get hooked just to get disappointed.
So ask yourself- once someone has a good first impression of your business, what happens next? How will they feel when they dig a little deeper? Will they find confirmation, or leave disappointed?

Saying I'm excited is an UNDERSTATEMENT.
I AM BACK!
Last year I used this space to post that I was closing the doors on my branding company, brxnd co. I was juggling post-partum health, newly single motherhood to TWINS who had been born at 28 weeks, and building life back from scratch.
Over this last year I have continued to help a few businesses behind the scenes with social media, building a few websites, and compiling pages on pages on notebooks of all my notes, research, experience and thoughts on business through the lens of marketing and branding. And I realized something... This is right where I am supposed to be, this is my world, and I LOVE helping other entrepreneurs shine; there is no work more fulfilling to me than this.
So here I am, with a new name and a renewed passion for being their for my entrepreneurial friends looking to make their mark on the world.
I have the two dreamiest jobs in the world... I am a full-time twin mom moonlighting (get it) as an executive coach, helping others entrepreneurs grow their businesses. I am so grateful to be back, here with you.

It’s the little things.
The little check ins when our energy is off. The little shifts in attitude when we can think something better.
The little attentions to detail to make something special.
The little effort to go the extra mile.
The little choices that cause a behavior shift over time.
In the moments of “I’ll choose this/say this/ do this later”, remembering those “little” opportunities are the ones that count can push us to own that moment, for now and for later.
These are the moments where the most friction and resistance occur. If we already know before hand what choice we are going to make, the resistance dissipates because we have already decided.
I learned this in recovery and have applied it everywhere in my life. When a choice comes up, I already know how I will respond. And sometimes I choose to do it the old way and remind myself the hard way that the decision I make that aligns with my values is always the right one. Always.
Little by little we grow a legacy, we transform our bodies, we build our relationships.
So why not start “the little” today?

Energy work is only part of the growth equation, and isn’t complete or manifested until it is followed by action.
Putting yourself in a position of power is simply being a person who moves fast and acts in alignment with their values and desires.
Do your potential power and your actual power match up? Being capable and having the capacity to do something is very different than putting in the work to manifest that power.
Action is where your power lies. Sure you may “feel good” with your expanded capacity, but the truth is the fulfillment of your purpose and the miracle takes place when you use that capacity and act on it for the good of you and for the good of others. ❤️

In February I took a break. Because I wanted to quit. I wanted to be done and I was over the game of social media. But wisdom kicked in and I knew that I just needed a break. Rest not quit right?
During that month my eyes were open so much as to my personal responsibility for not only what social media means to me, but what kind of place I am creating with the gift that I have been given in this day and age.
To not be on social media would be to not allow myself to be used to serve others.
But I realized that I had been treating social media and online business like a science not an art.
I had been trying to do everything so that a specific outcome would happen not doing it because it was the next right step. Not because it was what I wanted to do, and the outcome could take care of itself.
So I strengthened my worldview and my own personal narrative around social media and why I’m here.
I simplified the rules of the game.
I fell back in love with playing the game.
Not necessarily winning or losing.
And THAT is the key to winning, over time, for a long time.
Today, my social media is simply about expressing myself and serving the people who come into my world.
It is that simple, because I decided it is.

PART ONE
You aren’t JUST on social media.
There are a thousand ways to be on social media. To share, to teach, and to connect.
Social media is a perfect example of how reality works for us. You aren’t just in your reality. There are thousands of realities lived by the people around you… and there are multiple realities available to you in this moment.
I didn’t understand this truly until I got sober. Every time I drive past a bar I used to go to, a liquor store I used to frequent, there is still a version of me in that reality. She was, I was there. I loved and breathed that reality, almost to a physical death.
Today I am in a completely different reality. A reality that the me in my past reality couldn’t even comprehend. And I know there is a version of me, a choice or two away, that is right back in that reality.
How did I bridge these two realities? How did I enter into the one I am now? The way we all do:
New choices.
New beliefs.
New thoughts.
New narratives.
New actions.
Over and over again. Until the old reality doesn’t feel like it fits and the new one is just who you are.

There was a time last year that I didn’t know how we would make it.
But we are here. And I am the person who is ready for it all. I wasn’t then. I am now.
The journey. The destination. All good. All just as it is meant to be. So grateful.
Wife. Ex-Wife. Woman. Entrepreneur. Recovering Alcoholic. Step-Mom. Sister. Friend. Anxious.
So many identities. Some influenced by society. Some written in my past. All battling some times to want to encompass all of me.
Enter identity work.

We get to choose, from ALL the identities placed on us by the world, by our loved ones, by our peers and competitors… we choose what gets to stick.
What gets to shine.
Where we decide to live from.
Because how we live is the only actual identity that really matters.

These are the true marks of identity. ★★★
And you get to decide exactly what that is.
I felt so lost my first six months of business.
Trying to figure out which parts of me to show and which weren’t good enough and needed to be hidden.
Trying to convey who I was when I was so many things.
And then I took myself on a journey through identity-based business and applying that work to my brand.
And it changed everything for me.
More certainty. More confidence. More passion.
Less confusion. Less fear. Less burnout.

This post was meant to be a carousel post explaining how you can use aesthetics in your business and why this part of branding is so important.
But the deeper I went into preparing and writing a post, the more content flowed through and the more important this topic became.
The energy behind your aesthetic, when done intentionally, is meant to shift, evoke, elicit some sort of emotion and response.

After my writing session this afternoon I decided that for the next 3-5 days we are going to deep dive into aesthetics, a microclass via Instagram, if you will.
