What is MolloyMotorsports up to now?
Can’t let everyone else have all the fun at the Caldwell indoor races. Thanks to Steve Hopkins, Emerson will be taking this hot rod senior four out on the track this week hopefully.
First race on asphalt is in the books. Was it fun? YES . Was I nervous? YES. It was also a little humbling for me. I set myself some goals before the weekend. 1. Bring the car home in one piece ✔️ 2. Don’t be the car the causes the Big One ✔️( although I did cause one caution flag for a spin ) 3. Learn from others and improve each time out ✔️ I have a different level a of appreciation for the drivers at the track. They make it look so easy. It’s a lot harder than it looks. There were times I could of be more aggressive and times where I just need hit my marks and drive the car. I learned a lot. Thank you Emerson Molloy , Brayden Molloy for being a great pit crew and Donovan for always checking on me. Thank you to the other drivers for your advice when I asked and your understanding that I’m a “Student Driver “😉. This video is of my heat race. Heat race #2. I have the first half of the Main on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClm0rZBPMU8Z6exZPa9FMZg
Heat race at Skyline.
Shortened video. Molloy Motorsports team going 3 wide for the first lap at Skyline. This would make any team owner nervous. Luckily I couldn’t see it while I was driving. 😆
Thanks to Randy Wilcox for the video. The full length heat race can be seen Speedbowl at Skyline MX Park & Event Center page.
Video of the second heat race from last night. Emerson was running second, Brayden was hold third and that’s me bringing up the rear ☹️
We were able to get the rebuilt motor on Emerson’s car and worked on the setup this weekend. Hit Skyline up on Saturday for a little motor break-in time. Hard part was trying to keep Emerson from going to fast!! She’s got a lead foot.
For any Miro 250 fans. Here’s the video from after the first cation ( Hayley’s chain issue) to the finish. Almost 4 minutes of green flag racing. Sorry I started out mainly on the #75 car. Feel free to share. BCR 04/23 Main Event.
