How do “casual Sundays” end up “working on race cars Sunday” again?😁 the list never ends.

We made it!! Well we almost made it the whole weekend unscathed. Won’t bore you with a lengthy three days of race recaps. Cliff note version:
Friday- all three of the Mircos made it to the finish line at Speedbowl at Skyline Park and Event Center and parked in the trailer in one piece.
Saturday- Legends ran well and we had fun racing with a large competitive field of 20 cars at Meridian Speedway. The class ran well and never had the “big one” that claims a large chunk of the field.
Sunday- yet another large competitive field of 20 cars at the Motorplex At The Mill. We only had one caution in our 40 lap main. Fun racing so many green flag laps at one time.
Only setback we experienced was after the checkered flag on Sunday while slowing down to exit the track, a car from behind lost their brakes. They managed to avoid two other cars but unfortunately found me and the #75 car. It was a hard hit from behind that definitely took me by surprise. No damage to me and it looks like it won’t take much to get the car back out on the track.
We couldn’t have done this weekend without the help from Brayden Molloy, Donavn Gonzales, Keith Gonzales and Laura Willard Molloy

It’s going to be a busy weekend for the MolloyMotorsports crew. 3 tracks in 3 days!!
All three Micros will be out on Friday night at the Speedbowl at Skyline Park and Event Center. Then right back at it with both Legends on Saturday at Meridian Speedway, with a quick turnaround to the Motorplex At The Mill on Sunday. This will be a test on both the crews and the equipment. Looks like the weather should be perfect, so come on out and support your local race tracks and teams.

MolloyMotorsports and Brayden Molloy will be debuting his Pro Late Model for the 2025 race season. We have a lot to learn this off season but we are so excited for the adventures ahead!

Fun weekend at Magic Valley Speedway for the Molloy Motorsports crew. The stands were packed and all the classes put on a great show. Are we the fastest cars on the track? Far from it….Both of us are learning a lot each time out. But we are having a blast spending time with our fellow competitors and racing family. BIG THANKS to Brayden Molloy again for being our crew chief and getting both of us all lined out. Thanks again to the crew at MVS for a well run evening of racing. Riley Robert even hoped into a Legend. Maybe next time I’ll let him start the motor 😂

Twin Falls bound 🏁

A successful night for the Molloy Motorsports crew at Meridian Speedway. Both car made it back into the shop in one piece.
Emerson had a solid night finishing both 25 lap mains and making improvements each time out. We did single car qualifying this evening. She posted one of her fastest times during qualifying and beat her old man.
I had an overall pretty good night with a top ten finish in the first main event. The second main event I started outside pole got a good pull down the strait away and lead the pack around for the first lap. I was battling for a top five position when I got a little aggressive on the gas and I broke the rear end of the car loose in the corner and did a single car spin. To the back of the pack I went.
Thanks again to Brayden Molloy and Donavn for helping to keep the team going. Let’s just check that fuel level before the second main next time 😉😂.

T’was the night before race day and shop looks like a used car lot! Swapping out the Micros for the Legends in the trailer. Molloy Motorsports crew will be heading out to the concrete jungle at Meridian Speedway tomorrow for some “hot” racing action. Come on out and support your local track.

With our first major heatwave of the season approaching, time to put some A/C in my Legend. Goodbye plexiglass, hello air movement 💨

2/3rds of the Molloy Motorsports crew are loaded up and ready for Friday night racing action at Speedbowl at Skyline Park and Event Center. Emerson Molloy and Brayden Molloy will be battling each other in their Mirco 250’s. If all goes well, the “old man” hopes to be there in an advisory role. Come on out and enjoy this perfect weather and some fun racing action tomorrow night.

Was it hot? Yes! Was the racing action even hotter? Yes!
What a sizzling weekend for all of the Molloy Motorsports crew. Friday night at the dirt track at Skyline. Brayden unfortunately battled some carburetor jetting issues and just couldn’t get the car up to speed for the main.Emerson and I ran well and had some fun racing with the field. Sorry no pictures from Friday.
Saturday morning, we were up early to swap out the dirt cars for the legends in the trailer. Then off we went to Meridian speedway.
Emerson continues to build more confidence and speed every time out. She has received many compliments from fellow drivers on her consistent and smooth lines.
I qualified well, and ended up on outside pole for main one and pole for main two. I left way too big of gap on the inside and got shuffled back in the field and rode out the rest of main number one. Main two I started pole and got a good drive off the start and ran a pretty consistent race settling into my position mid field.
Huge THANK YOU to our crew chief, Brayden Molloy, with Donavn Gonzalez, and Aj Martinson for helping us so much. Thank you Laura for coming out and making sure everyone was staying hydrated and healthy. You all battled the heat so well and made sure we were as comfortable as possible. Appreciate your time and effort.

Almost time for qualifying at the concrete jungle. Hot enough even the cars want a fan on after our practice season.

The Molloy Motorsports crew is gearing up for a hot 🥵 Double-Double of racing this weekend. Come join us tonight at the Speedbowl at Skyline Park and Event Center where we will have all three cars hitting the track together. Saturday night the Legend crew with be at the concrete jungle at Meridian Speedway for twin 25 laps main events. As the heat of summer increases so does the racing action.

The MolloyMotorsports crew was back at it again this past Saturday at Motorplex At The Mill. Emerson Molloy had a little apprehension when she first got out on the new track. It has a different feel than anything she has driven on before. Faster straightaways and tricky corners. Emerson made improvements all throughout the day and ran a very smart main event and brought the car home without a scratch on it.
For me, it was a breakout day. I finally got some confidence in the car. I even managed to qualify 6th fastest out of the field. We did a top 7 car invert for the main which put me outside pole for the start. Had a good run out of turn two but got shuffled back and then didn’t block when I had the chance and settled in for the 30 laps main. I had some good battles for position but just couldn’t pull off a clean pass when able. First time ever I felt that I could have gone faster if a had an open track in front of me.

Emerson Molloy getting some love from the karting community.

You may recognize her from corner working at the kart races now come see Emerson Molloy run her Legend car at Motorplex at the Mill this Saturday!

We were lucky enough to have my parents out for a visit this weekend. My dad brought out this camera to help capture some of the action from the Speedbowl at Skyline Park and Event Center. He’s known for his Northern Lights photos and sled dog race shots. His first time at a dirt track so we made sure he stayed outside the fence for everyone’s safety 😉

Two weekends in a row Emerson Molloy leads the MolloyMotorsports team. Emerson had a strong running car and ran a nice line to take home the checkered flag on Friday night. Brayden Molloy was close behind for second. Somehow I ended up in my all too familiar back of the pack spot. Great night of racing when we can get all three cars across the finish line at the end of the night. Thanks again to the hard working crew at Speedbowl at Skyline Park and Event Center for a wonderful night of racing!

Emerson Molloy leads the team! Saturday was our second race of the season and Emerson had some fast practice laps and qualified faster than the old man. Emerson got around me on a restart and never let go of that option. Nice driving on her part and we both managed to keep the cars clean and drove them into the trailer at the end of the night.
Side note: MolloyMotorsports with be looking for a team psychologist and a driving coach for the old man.

Not exactly how I planned on starting my race day off. When you can’t get the #11 car to scale correctly and you realize he mounted a lower control arm upside down.Nothing like game day pressure.
