Happy Mother’s Day!🌷🌻🌺
I am sending so much love and gratitude to you all today!

For some people Mother’s Day is a very joyful day filled with love, for others it can stir up pain and feel difficult. And sometimes, it is both. No matter what today feels like for you, I am celebrating all of you and honoring where you’re at and holding you in my heart today. I am grateful for you! 💗

I wanted to offer a gift to all moms today, (motherhood takes many forms, and we are all divine Mother’s!) and offer you the gift of bringing a free guest when you sign up for my essential oils class next weekend!🌟
You will both be able to make your own set of products to take home for the cost of only one fee (or feel free to split the fee between you). We will be serving sparkling water infused with various fresh fruits & herbs, and depending on requests we may be serving mimosas🥂(give us your input!)... it will be a fun afternoon!🤗

Simply DM or email [email protected] to reserve a spot for you and a free guest!

Also, all mothers who come in for a treatment during May can pick out a free “soothe” self care product: a bath soak, a spray, or a roller bottle.

Sending so much love to all, Happy Mother’s Day! 💗🌟🌷🌻

Happy Friday friends!🌟
A note from our furry four legged friends: May your joy today be in equal measure to and as contagious as the joy of Theo, or most any fur baby, running through freshly falling snow.❄️🐶❄️
May you remember to savor the joy in simple things. And may you remember not to hold back when you feel like being EXTRA AF.😂
And, if you are doing the brave work of sitting with some heavier emotions today, and feel somewhat distant from resonating with this joy, may this serve as your reminder of how courageous the work you’re doing is, and that you will get through this and find joy and lightness of being again, in due time, without any need to rush the process. In the meantime, as you surrender to what each moment has to offer you, perhaps you may enjoy a simple moment of vicarious glee... a brief respite to find a deep inhale and exhale amongst the processing work you are doing.💗

Thank you for this thoughtful caption, and thank you for this quote. 🙏🏼 🌟
- - - - - -
Take this in and read this caption.
If anywhere in our system we believe that healing is any of these things, then there’s a high chance that our system is going to find a sneaky way to reject it.
I know that can sound a little funky, but let’s keep going here. “Why wouldn’t I want to heal?!” some of you might ask. “Why would I be resisting that — I absolutely don’t want to feel this way or live this way anymore.” I’m with you. Let’s just take a little trip down the inner child/inner adult lane, okay?
If healing means fixing, forgetting, erasing, or undoing, it also HAS to mean minimizing, invalidating, dismissing, shrinking, and distorting. EEP. no good.
Think about when someone tries to tell you why you shouldn’t be feeling a certain way or that it will just pass. Now put it on steroids.
Our trauma, pain, and wounds aren’t something to fix, undo, erase, or forget. In fact, the inner being within each one of us won’t let that happen. Not only wont they let it happen, they’ll generally cause a pretty serious ruckus internally and externally.
If you are trying to heal by doing any of these things consider that the threat to your internal system is that you’d be dismissing and invalidating yourself. Which is the exact opposite of what you actually need in order to heal: witnessing, seeing, feeling, honoring, acknowledging.
Let your inner self know that you’re not going anywhere. Stay grounded for all that is within. Hold the space for the child or the teenager or the adult to be witnessed at least by you.

Liberty & Me in NYC took her special needs rescue pup for Acupuncture treatment to help with vertigo and other central nervous system problems. After only the first treatment they already saw noticeable improvement! This is why I love ☺️💗🐶
Read her whole caption below:
-✨-✨-✨-✨ -✨-
Libs had her first acupuncture session Saturday The Animal Medical Center with Dr. Churno and did very well. We asked to hold her during the session and she remained calm and comfy. The needles really did not faze her.
She slept in the car ride home...which is a big first and big win for us!! She normally is a nervous wreck and whimpering due to her vertigo.
The remaining part of Saturday, she was calm and slept well. No shaky movements. I also noticed she was able to stand and walk around better Saturday night and Sunday. We definitely plan to continue acupuncture sessions and hope they continue to go this well🙏
If you want to follow along on Lib’s journey go to Liberty & Me in NYC...she’s had lots of tests and her disease state is really unknown other than multiple conditions (Central nervous system, vertigo etc) but she’s cute as a button and surrounded by a family that loves and is willing to do anything for her. ❤️

I occasionally notice themes emerge in the patients I’m treating at a given time... it could be anything from migraines, to thyroid problems, to plantar fasciitis, to insomnia, but I will see waves of unrelated people with similar patterns of imbalance. The theme I’ve witnessed lately, is grief. Loss is showing up in people’s lives lately... whether the loss of a loved one, a treasured relationship, a career, an identity, loss of health, a beloved fur baby, or any other type of loss that strikes the chord of deep and profound grief in our hearts... we are collectively processing the pain of these losses.
💔
Whether your mind has labeled your loss as insignificant & small, or devastating & all consuming... your grief is here, & it will be traveling with you for quite some time. It may feel like an unwelcome guest, & you may feel overwhelmed, but you are not alone. Grief breaks us open and shows us how great is the depth of our love.💗
✨✨✨✨✨
Did you know that Acupuncture helps with emotional processing? Did you know it soothes the nervous system, calms the mind, & encourages deep rest and relaxation? It helps us enter these states of being that feel nearly impossible to achieve when we are grief stricken. Yet these are states of being that are crucial in order to facilitate emotional processing and healing. I love giving Acupuncture treatments for emotional well being, because the treatment helps us reconnect with our selves, in an almost meditative way, to see our emotions without judgement. It clears away overwhelm & helps us remember who we are and what is important in this life. Connect to your breath, breathe into discomfort, and allow your breath to give grief a place to go. Become aware of what message grief has for you.
✨✨✨✨✨
If you are struggling, please reach out for help. If you dread verbalizing your grief, I can begin by allowing your pulses to guide me; they’ll tell me what is needed in order to facilitate healing in that moment. Acupuncture, meditation, & therapy do not take our grief away, no. But they can help us step into a heart centered way of embracing the love which remains at the core of grief, & discover the message waiting for us.💗

self care point of the day is... Pericardium 6!

PC6 is located on the inside of the wrist between the palmaris longus & flexor carpi radialis tendons that run down the middle of the inner forearm.

To locate PC6, place three fingers across your wrist starting at the wrist crease. PC6 is located between these two tendons at the point where the edge of the 3rd finger crosses the tendons. (Note: a small percentage of people only have one of these tendons, if you are in this unique group, locate PC6 just to the little finger side of the tendon).

🌟Benefits of PC6:🌟

👉🏼PC6 is a primary point for treating , no matter the cause. Whether it is motion sickness, pregnancy related, migraine related, a food that didn’t agree with you, post-operative opioid-induced nausea, or simply gastrointestinal distress, PC6 is your friend! Its effect on nausea is what has earned PC6 the rare distinction of being able to treat a condition without the addition of other points. If you are familiar with the popular use of “Seabands” that people wear in their wrists to help with motion sickness, now you know their secret: they are using magnets to activate the nausea fighting properties of PC6!

👉🏼Another use for PC6 is to calm the mind, soothe the spirit and reduce anxiety. Pericardium is the “heart protector.” It is not only anatomically a sack that physically wraps around our heart, but Chinese Medicine also attributes it with the responsibility of protecting the heart from the accumulation of everyday emotional stressors.
👉🏼PC6 "opens and unbinds the chest” & disperses qi stagnation in the chest helping with symptoms such as chest tightness & palpitations (especially if these symptoms are anxiety related). Sometimes can produce nausea as well, in which case PC6 is the perfect choice on both fronts! 🙌🏼

PC6 is super easy to access on yourself for acupressure, so the next time you are feeling anxious or nauseous, try massaging Pericardium 6 while you take some deep belly breaths and notice how you start to feel better! 🤗

Experiment with it and let me know how it goes! May it bring you great benefit! ☺️🙏🏼

Shame? Resentment? Judgement? Feelings of unworthiness? An unhealthy habit? A toxic relationship dynamic? Negative self talk? Anything that you know isn’t serving your greater good, but keeps dominating your awareness and bringing pain into your daily existence...
LET THAT SH*T GO.

Not sure if this applies to your situation? Whatever popped into your mind when you saw this image, whatever made you click on it, wondering if it applied to you... this is your answer that YES, yes it does. And the very thing that popped into your awareness (before you started doubting your intuition or making excuses) is what you are being invited to let go of.

Letting go doesn’t happen in an instant, like we’d like to believe. It is an ongoing process and we must choose over and over again to let something go. So don’t beat yourself up if it requires hitting the reset button over and over (and over!) again. You’re human. Welcome to the club.

But the CHOICE to let it go, in and of itself, will lift some of the burden. The CHOICE to let it go will create space in your consciousness and your life to invite opportunity for something that DOES serve your greater good.

So keep lettin’ that sh*t go. Over and over, as long as it takes.

And one day, suddenly, you’ll realize it’s completely gone. And in its absence, there will be room for gifts to arrive. Gifts like acceptance, love, self care, grace, compassion, empathy, understanding, and peace.

Make way for these gifts. They are yours for the taking. Whenever you can. Make way. 🌟

We’re still on the HPA-stress train for 2019 but let’s tie it to estrogen. 🤓
Men and women, have you noticed that when your cortisol is higher, your estrogen dominant symptoms seem worse? 🤔
There are a few reasons for this BUT this cool study says, “...glucocorticoids may antagonize estrogen function by glucocorticoid receptor-mediated transcriptional up-regulation of estrogen sulfotransferase SULT1E1 resulting in inactivating sulfation of E2.” 😮
WTF does that mean? 😳
It means your high cortisol (or if you’re taking cortisol) can switch off the process that helps inactivate your most potent estrogen, E2. 😦
This makes MORE E2 in circulation in your body. 😱
The thing is, your cortisol is SUPPOSED to go up then down in your day. It’s supposed to rise when you get stressed, or to help fight a bacteria, or to increase your blood sugar when it gets too low. 🤗
But then it should drop down to normal range. It’s the premise of that book, Why Zebras Don’t Get Ulcers. The zebra is grazing. It gets chased by a lion 🦁 so it runs. It doesn’t get killed but their buddy gets taken down by from the lion. The zebra goes back to grazing unfazed. 🦓
If MY buddy got killed by a lion, I would most certainly LOSE MY SH*T and that feeling would last ALL DAY. And probably all month. 😭
My point is, if your cortisol is chronically increasing then your estradiol (E2) might be increasing too! 👎🏼
We are not handling our stress well. Its chronically elevated. We’re chronically stimulated, dehydrated, over-toxined (totally a word), sleep deprived, full of sugar, under appreciated, infected by stealth and overt infections...and more. 😢
So. Focus on making little changes. Go to bed sooner. Drink water. Cut back on alcohol. Love on your people. Call up your friends. Say no to things you really don’t want to do (no thank you and f*ck no are perfectly acceptable answers). 🙃
Lower your stress. Balance your estrogen. You can also talk with your Naturopathic or Functional practitioner to your levels! ♥️

Happy Holidays everyone!🎄
May this season bring you deep joy, abundant health, and plenty of time spent cherishing the moments you love.

I recently created a custom therapeutic blend of ten essential oils which you may have noticed diffusing in the treatment room if you have visited recently. It is a deeply restorative, relaxing, and healing blend that I used to create handmade custom bath soaks, and I'm excited to share them with you as a holiday gift!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I filled glass mason jars with layers of:
-epsom salts to relieve muscle tension
-mineral rich pink himalayan salt
-skin soothing organic oats
all topped off with good dose of my custom essential oil blend of:
Douglas Fir, Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Bergamot, Lavender, Juniper Berry, Wintergreen, Ginger, Grapefruit, and Cardamom.
☺️💗🌟

To enjoy your soak, simply pour the contents of the jar into a bath and let it dissolve into a wonderfully aromatic self care soaking ritual that will relax your mind, restore your body, and revive your spirit, just as the label says.

If you don’t already have an appointment scheduled, just swing by sometime this week to pick yours up!☺️💗🙏🏼🌟
