Auburn Crest Hospice
Auburn Crest Hospice honors life by empowering employees, patients and communities to live every mom
We are a locally owned hospice company whose ownership has nearly two decades of adding quality and value to the lives of our seniors. It is truly an honor to provide care and support for our patients and their families, choosing to live every moment during this precious time.
We still have smiles on our faces! We fed 150 hungry fishermen yesterday! Our deepest thanks to Idaho Fish and Game Magic Valley for helping us make this event such a success! Oster One Lakes in Hagerman was fully stocked of rainbow trout and because of the help from the Fish and Game and their volunteers, residents from nursing homes all over the Magic Valley were able catch and catch and catch! And thanks to our staff here at Auburn Crest Home Health and Hospice, we were able to make memories and fill our bellies! Nothing better than fried chicken and watermelon on a hot summer day!
Come join us!! Mark your calendar for June 25th! We love providing this opportunity to all seniors in the Magic Valley!

Hospice Volunteer Appreciation Month
🌟 Honoring David Kessler:
A Remarkable Hospice Volunteer 🌟
Join us in honoring David Kessler, an extraordinary member of our hospice family, whose journey from Burbank, California, to Idaho, has been marked by compassion and service. With roots firmly planted in a life of service, David first served in the military during the 1960s before pursuing his passion for photography through college. Two decades ago, he found his home in Idaho, where his spirit of kindness continues to shine.
Amidst raising four children, cherishing six grandchildren, and caring for three beloved dogs, David generously dedicates his time to being a hospice volunteer, a role he’s embraced for the past almost 9 years. As he puts it, “In my younger years, I didn’t have the time to volunteer, but now in retirement, I want to give back.”
Reflecting on his experiences, David fondly recalls moments spent with patients, such as connecting with a woman with dementia who once painted in her youth. By sharing his own passion for painting, David sparked moments of joy and connection, glimpsing the vibrant spirit beyond the shadows of dementia.
But David’s dedication doesn’t end there. He actively participates in our veteran pinning ceremonies, veteran parades, and even dons the red suit to play Santa at community events. His commitment to serving others knows no bounds.
When asked about the skills needed for hospice volunteering, David emphasizes empathy, active listening, and the ability to respond sensitively. He believes in forming genuine connections with patients and their families, providing comfort and companionship during their end-of-life journey.
We at Auburn Crest Hospice are deeply grateful to David for his unwavering commitment to serving our community. His kindness and grace have touched countless lives, and we are honored to have him as part of our hospice family. Thank you, David, for embodying the spirit of compassion and for being a beacon of light to all who know you. 🙏✨
🇺🇸 Happy Presidents’ Day! 🇺🇸
As we honor the legacy and contributions of past leaders today, let’s also take a moment to reflect on the values they embodied, including compassion and service to others. At Auburn Crest Hospice, we believe in upholding these principles every day as we provide care and support to those in need.
Presidents’ Day serves as a reminder of the importance of caring for our fellow citizens, especially during challenging times. Just as our nation’s leaders have worked to improve the lives of all Americans, our dedicated team at Auburn Crest Hospice is committed to enhancing the quality of life for our patients and their families.
Today, as we celebrate Presidents’ Day, we invite you to consider how you can contribute to the well-being of others in your community. Whether it’s through volunteering, supporting a local charity, or simply lending a helping hand to a neighbor in need, every act of kindness makes a difference.
If you or a loved one could benefit from our hospice services, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Together, let’s continue to uphold the spirit of compassion and service that defines our great nation. 🇺🇸🦋
