Hi succulent and prickly friends!! We have a new SUMMER SHOP schedule please see below. This summer we have decided to take some time to enjoy the weekends outdoors and with our families - the kids are growing like weeds and we are getting a bit of FOMO not being around them during the weekends 😅😅 So we have made the decision to take time to spend with them.
New hours are from June 1st thru July 27th. We are basically shifting to a Tuesday thru Friday schedule:

Tuesday - 11am to 5pm ✨✨ this is new!
Wednesday - 11am to 5pm
Thursday - 11am to 5pm

We are bringing our wine tasting and succulent potting events back by popular demand! We are excited to announce our next collaboration with John Ospina from is on Wednesday, May 8th from 6pm to 8pm at ✨

In this workshop you will not only get your hands dirty and plant your own succulent arrangement, but get the opportunity to learn all about Rosé wines from around the world - and better yet get to savor them along tasty bites ✨

Manifesting sunshine ☀️✨🌵

Cacti need the sunshine to be happy and thrive. You might want to run and move that cactus of yours, living in the darkest corner of your house, to the window 😬

Watering can be tricky - but not so complicated. It should be purposeful. Think about you being Mother Nature and creating a little desert cycle for your cactus. You need to bring in the sunshine and bring on the drought in between waterings. Let that prickly friend dry completely in between waterings. Depending on the size of the cactus, it might be 7 days (for small ones) to three months for the larger cactus that are in pots 10” + 🌵 When in doubt get a moisture meter (we have those at the shop - they are life savers when it comes to larger plants and the guessing game on when to water 💦

At the shop we also use a systemic powder every 8 weeks to prevent cacti from getting scale and mealy bugs - a common pest that tends to come out of nowhere. We also clean the cacti once per month with rubbing alcohol to prevent these pesky pests from showing up ✨🌵

'A Succulent Day' plant and decor store brings a piece of Mexico to Idaho In our continuing coverage of Hispanic Heritage Month, we are spotlighting people in our community that make the Treasure Valley the beautiful place that is.

✨Join us for a curated, intimate wine tasting & succulent potting workshop on Wednesday, October 18th from 6pm to 8pm at our shop’s creative studio.
John Ospina from will guide us through the red wines of the Pacific Northwest with an educational wine tasting experience.

Washington State is the second-largest wine producer in the US, after California. The state’s diverse climate and soils allow it to grow a wide variety of grapes, but its most famous red wines are made from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, and Syrah. Oregon is known for its Pinot Noir, which is grown in the state’s Willamette Valley. Pinot Noir from Oregon is known for its elegant flavors and delicate aromas.

Our succulent potting will feature the magnificent and dark purple aeonium arboreum atropurpureum along with two other succulents of your choice, in a beautiful ceramic bowl.
