Paula says: "As soon as I looked up at the Prague Spanish Synagogue ceiling, I knew I’d found a quilt idea. I am a Patternista hardwired to see pattern everywhere and here was a glut of architectural designs bumping into each other. This quilt is "Zigzags & Circles #8" by Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry. It won Third Place in the Abstract category (sponsored by APQS) in the 2022 Festival Judged Show. See it and all the winners and finalists at the Houston Festival Nov. 3-6! APQS Bryerpatch Studio
Caryl says "This piece is the eighth in a series combining zigzags, curves, and circles. I drew the design in Corel Draw, added digital painting, and had it printed by Spoonflower.com. I graduated many shapes from color to color. As I arranged them in the design, I made the areas where they overlapped into separate shapes and chose duller colors in those shapes to create the illusion that all the objects are transparent."

Akiko says "I wanted to create a quilt with many girls on a pink background. Each of them has various faces with different hairstyles, clothes, and suited bags. There are 640 of them. It took a lot of time and effort to gather and arrange the fabrics to make the background a pink gradation. I hope this will make you feel gorgeous, as if cherry blossoms are in full bloom, or make you smile and feel kind."

Our Story
We started out as a mail order company over 30 years ago by placing a 2” ad in the Quilter’s Association Newsletter to “join” the club and collect 4” cotton square samples monthly. A lot has changed since then. We continue to send out, now, 5” cotton square samples if you Join The Cotton Club. However we now have numerours clubs - fabric, thread, Block of the Months, etc. Join a club and find a fun and surprise package of color each month in your mail box. But you do not have to be a member to simply shop online. You can find our entire shop at www.cottonclub.com.
We offer premium 100% cotton fabrics for quilters and consider our staples to be: All Fossil Fern fabrics; all fabrics created and designed by Paula Nadelstern, the kaleidoscope queen; and Hoffman Water Color Batiks. We also carry all 234 colors of Aurifil Thread in the 220 yard spool size, and currently have 79 colors of the larger, 1442 yard spool. We also carry all 80 colors of Kimono Silk thread, or Presencia Thread - Perle Cotton and 3-Ply 50 weight cotton.
Our fabrics come from Hoffman, Robert Kaufman, Benartex, Northcott, Clothworks, Andover and so many other manufacturers. If we like it, we buy it. We consider our shop to be our own private stash - haha!
