Tom Denney Nature Camp 2024 registration is underway!
What really sets a camp apart in the eyes of campers? We think it's getting out and enjoying nature, learning, and, of course, camaraderie! Meeting new friends and being guided by friendly counselors is a combination for success!

Overview of Tom Denney Nature Camp:

Runs: July 1 through August 9: Monday-Friday from 9a.m.-3 p.m.
Before/After care available
Campers welcome from all towns
Ages: Kindergarten – 9th grade campers:

What can campers expect?
Games and activities in the fields, woods, and pond!
This includes swimming, kayaking, arts & crafts, laser tag, water gun fun, hiking, tracking, shelter building, campfires to cook hot dogs and marshmallows, ponding (catch and release frogs and fish), 'predator and prey' (an all-camp tag game), The Amazing Race (group challenges), exotic and local animals from Animal Adventures & more!

For high school-aged students: Counselor-in-Training program for fun and also volunteer and leadership hours.

2024 Schedule:

Camp Week 1: July 1-5 (yes, we are open July 4)
Camp Week 2: July 8-12
Camp Week 3: July 15-19
Camp Week 4: July 22-26
Camp Week 5: July 29 – August 2
Camp Week 6: August 5-9
CIT/Staff Mandatory Orientation (then CITs choose 2 weeks of camp to work): June 26-28, 9am-3pm

The Tom Denney Nature Camp in Bolton, MA is accepting applications for camp counselors.

Camp runs July 3 - August 11 and staff is there from 8:45am-4:30pm and until 6pm on Thursdays. Staff Orientation and set-up of camp is from June 26-30, 9am-3pm. Pay is $15/hour.

Requirements:
• High School junior or older
• Desire to work with children
• Likes nature and being outside
• Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, responsible, good morals, patience, compassion, ability to remain camper focused, creativity, and a positive attitude
• Be able to maintain a safe camp environment
•Lifeguard certification a plus (you have time to take a course before camp starts)

To start the application process:
Send an email telling us about yourself to [email protected]. Let us know anything you can think of that would make us want to hire you: age/grade, town you are from (doesn't have to be Bolton), extra-curricular activities, prior work experience, prior camp experience either as camper or counselor-in-training, etc. Include your contact information and if you know anyone who works at TDNC.

First come first serve, so get your emails to us as soon as possible.

If you're entering 9th or 10th grade, you can be a counselor-in-training and earn volunteer and leadership hours while having fun!

Notice: camp weeks are filling up. If a session is full, it’s best to opt for an open week. Alternatively, you can be put on a waitlist. Tom Denney Nature Camp staff work to ensure all campers get to experience the fun each summer.
